I know the feeling. I have two pet stories open at the moment. One for and one for myself. I got about 4 lines written and was like "OH LOOK, AN ALERT!" and once I'm done posting this I will of course have to check on my Ipad games and maybe have a cig and then solve world hunger...

And then there will hopefully be another alert on here! lol.

Sounds all too familiar X'D I usually get a paragraph or so before I scrap it because I think it sounds dumb and then I am faaaaaaaaar too lazy to start over for at least a few days.

Like I told the others, always keep what you have. Never delete. Just hit enter a few times and re-start or pick another point in the story to work on. You may come in back in a few days and find a way to re-work what you have to make it better!

I have a story that has like 8 starts and I hope in a few weeks I can merge them all to something I actually like :p

That's actually a really great idea :o I usually immediately regret deleting it, but I'm not confident enough in my writing. Then I remind myself this isn't the NYT, it's Subeta. lol

Also write, write and write... and then send it my way and I can help out :) I don't mind editing & adding in suggestions to make it better/improve upon what you have!

I think that's the only real work I've done on my pets in a about a week, just tc stuff. Oh except that last weekend I started doing rough sketches of one of my cat characters and learned that I can only draw cats with fat faces.. I don't even.. -.-

I managed nearly 600 words for yarrrs story today which is impressive. I could have finished but this cold is making my brain ooze out my nose.

I need to start thinking of to items for my other pets as well. But again, brain oozing.

I have a cold too D: woke up with a sore throat and then by midnight yesterday- bam! full on cold. Stupid germs.. Grats on getting so much story work done! I just had to check him out, that drawing with the telescope is too cute.

yeah, they're freaking gross. I was already on an antibiotic from a root canal so I know it's a virus too. Good thing for Dayquil and nyquil lol

I've thought of rough stories for a couple of pets...and started the TCs for about 3 of them. Does that count? When I actually try my hand at writing I'm pretty good at it - I have a degree in English Lit and Creative Writing; I just never seem to have the energy or enthusiasm to do it.

I'm mostly pretty happy with my pet names, though I worry Icarus II makes me look like an arrogant jerk. They're named after the ship/computer in my favourite movie, Sunshine, and I created them before I had the UN Icarus. Sunshine wasn't that popular though, so I wonder how many people see the pet and just think I'm an asshat :/

I don't even know all the items I'm putting in his treasure yet. I just know the amount I need. 5 items for each novel, of which there are 33. Plus I have 15 items more connected to his character. So happy I decided against including the short stories. xD

Woo! That's a great idea, thank you so much for that little bit of fun :) Also, I agree with what you said about writing, I tend to get an idea and jot out a rough version of it. Then I'll go back a few times and tweak and rewrite until it's what I really want. I try to never delete until I've rewritten, and even then only section by section, because I often do better building upon first drafts then trying to make it work on the spot.

Aw, thanks you two! It's no worries. I certainly can't draw anywhere near wanting to put it on the site. I think after I get my stories completed I'll be on a big art buying spree (if I have enough rl time that is. I tend to make the most money when I have a GA, but I have to be on at least a few hours a day to quest and restock and price my shop so that can get tricky).

Heck no! Having a pet with the same name as yourself isn't vain. There are so many Icarus' in literature, it's way more likely you named it and yourself after something. And even if not, people name their kids after themselves, so a pet on a petsite is no big thing. I agree with , if someone assumes you're an asshat it's on them not you :)

Would you be willing to look over Alex, photographie, and chewwie for me? I'm one draft short of done with all their stories but it would be great to get an outside opinion :)
