I subscribed to the Melody's Cottage Spoilers forum group -- there's a ping every day around midnight with the new items, and I don't clear the ping notification until I visit Melody. That seems to do it for me.

I did all my quests the first day -- yay! Then none yesterday due to busy-ness. I had hoped to at least do the Wizard every day, but oh well. No time tonight but I will try again in the morning (2 p.m. is my Subetan midnight).

Aw, the forum boxes are done? Sad. I liked the push to post. I still have 11 unopened though. Thought it was funny that almost every item I got from them is worth exactly 70k. I think they planned it that way. LOL. It was a nice little bonus

No I don't go on Neopets anymore. I did last spring to check on my pets and so they don't delete my account. Looks like the wild west in there now. I should try to log on again early in the new year, for the same reason.

- I noticed that, too. I went on a bit of a gifting spree last night. I really hope the trees open this year as they are supposed to. It was disappointing last year to not have anything to open until later in January.

So I'm just curious. Who participates in Mysterious Melody and how do you choose your gifts?

- I did my first year on here. I tried to go with a theme of some sort. I'd always start out with some sort of "Hey" sticker, then send a mid-priced themed item to see how the recipient would respond. I had a couple of good partners, but most of them just sent junk. I haven't done it at all in the last few years. I'd rather gift one item at a time to the gift boards. I still get junk from there, too, but I seem to mind it less.

Yeah, I've had a few disappointing MM partners. I just feel like they mostly send random items. And I have too but I try to make it something useful or cute or holiday themed. Like mage amulets, wiz tokens, stat boosters, books, plushies, etc. I got inspired today and looked up a whole mess of taco items and sent those.

So...I wonder if we're getting a stretch goal on this quest-a-thon thing.

- I bet we do since we're nearly there.
