PLEASE don&;t scratch "remove checked from HA". I never remove everything and it would be a total pain to cover up my zombiness every time.

This, please! Often times I use one or more items from one HA to the next, or keep a few things on as I am creating an HA - but add and take off a bunch of different stuff trying to create the look I really want. I don't really know how I would even make an HA if I couldn't take off an individual item XD

Not sure if it has been touched upon, but the ability to sort/search by color would be awesome. You know, just the most basic and broadest of colors like black, white/silver, yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, green? I know the gaia generator used to sort clothing like this, and that was always my favorite option. :)

[edit]

And like others have said, please keep remove checked from HA! 😱 As I'm always trying different layering and colors, I often have to remove certain items. I would hate to have to keep starting from scratch each time I just wanted to take off one thing. D:

Thanks for the good times Subeta!

I'm thinking to scratch that because someone else's comment reminded me that you can remove an item with a single click in the beta wardrobe already - so rather than clicking the box on the items and then clicking again to remove them, you just click the little x on the items you wish to remove. So it's actually less clicking that way! If there is a particular reason you'd like the check box instead though, I'd be happy to hear it. :)

I really like the idea of marking unwearable layers in red!

Thanks! I had no idea! :) That is very cool. I haven't really used the beta yet, so that is good to know.

I love the suggestion on the ability to toggle color codes (and item images) on/off (maybe just a plain text option alongside the colors and tags ones?) because let me tell you it looks soooo cluttered and busy where you have the list of items that you are currently wearing it frustrates the stuffing out of me too much!

This 100% I don't feel like I would need the color codes all the time, or the item images. And it does look very cluttered and it's hard to navigate the list easily when you have a lot of stuff on!

have hex codes for white, silver, gray items. They show up in items where the above mentioned colors are a minor part of the image but for items with mostly different shades of w/s/g no color codes show up in the ha.

I really miss my drawers when having to use the new wardrobe, and i agree letting us know when our oll is running out and the amount of layers we are wearing are too many

A few things:

I'd really like to be able to see base HA features in the new wardrobe, as I often layer eye items over base eyes so I can have eyebrows. It's a pain trying to select eyes without being able to see what they'll look like in the finished result.

I'm all for drawers (I need them!), but what's happening with the tagging option that was being floated a few months ago? I was really looking forward to being able to define clothing by more than one attribute. But if it's going to be too much of a problem, never mind. The new wardrobe is cluttered enough.

Just a little thing, but it really annoys me that in the colour pallets which do show up, black is an option for almost all of them. Most of the time, it's just picking up the line art, and it makes it really difficult to find clothing which is actually black.

The option to hide CW's is my biggest thing. I really dislike seeing something that I'm just like OH THIS IS PERF. JK. It's a CW. Toggle Salon Hair on/off is really good. And of course, drawers.

That's a really great list you've put together- I can't think of anything else that someone hasn't already said.

Hello lovely! All of these ideas are wonderful. I don't know if what I am going to suggest would be doable... I have a zapper skin and love it way way too much to change it, but sometimes playing dress up is difficult because I have no way of changing my skin color to say purple or blue or even white without using all my layers. Then I have nothing leftover for ensemble layering! Perhaps we could have a few base color change options that effect zapper/zombie/alternative skins? Like an overlay of a transparent hue that sits on top of our skin. Sort of like a soft tint? So the skin is the same but the color scheme is different........ IDK just a crazy idea. Keep up all your fantastic hard work :D

I think making icons larger is a very bad idea. They are not there to show you what the item actually looks like, that's why you hover. IMO they don't need to be in the layer list at all.

I would be perfectly happy if the drawers disappeared, IF I was allowed to make my own tags. My brain works weirdly, so other people's tags? I never think of them.

I don't agree with keeping the removed checked either. Putting a checkbox makes the layer box too noisy.

Insert layer here arrows also are layer box noise. The beta wardrobe goes so much faster I can drag layers around lickety split. Now if only layers would STAY PUT.

I like the 'remove color bars option' suggestion. While I can see this is a nifty feature and don't want to take it from anyone, I almost never try to be 'matchy' so it's layers box clutter to me.

I'm not sure what the point of an alpha search would be. This is only valuable if the search as-it-is remains sucky when the wardrobe goes out of beta. Does anyone dress in RL by alpha?

Being able to pick any color for your skin has been Suggested and shot down multiple times. I still love this idea though. Maybe more color choices, if we're not allowed to put any color?

I like purchase extra layer slots from wardrobe idea. This might even be a moneymaker. I have in the past gone "meh, this is a cool look, but too much trouble" even when I totally had the CSC to spend.

Take the Hair Salon and Tanning Salon out of the wardrobe entirely. Plonk them in Peka or Pina parks.

So here is my thought on the arrows for touch users, they could of course be somewhere else. But that just seemed like a logical spot. And they could be much smaller as on an ipad the screen does squish everything together. Im just doing this as a crappy 5 second on paint thing as Idk how else to explain it xD

Also another suggestion, Im not sure if others are having a hard time with sorting in this new set. But I prefer the old way of having drawer sorting/item removal as a separate thing. I really do use the drawers and am quite lost with out them. Its not like everyone has to use them. Im just a sort a holic.

Still the last bit I want is to be able to try on hairs and color them in wardrobe. Its such a pain in the butt to have to make the outfit with no hair and then add that last/make the hair add the outfit. I like to treat them all as one thing. Which is why I love that you can see and try hairs and their colours in arvee.

I do like this as I am a zap/zombie. But I think it sort of defeats the purpose. Mostly as then zombies could have more normal skin with no work yet still get our perks down under. There are many coverup methods and I have perfected some creative ones myself, so have others. Plus we have full body skins in green/rainbow/etc. So I sort of would be annoyed if there were ways to cover my skin, and am sure those with out the special skin would be too.

It is a bit extra work, but I love this skin. Others with out them chose to get rid as they prefer normal. So why would it be ok for us to have the perk of a special skin and human also?

And I believe outside the wardrobe there is a way to turn off seeing the zap/zombie skins from previews of overlays. Maybe that would make trying items easier for you?

Hi ! I'm a big wardrobe user, and I know that there is a lot of room for improvement. I’m so excited to see the changes that are being pushed through for the wardrobe. I had an old wardrobe overhall suggestion forum topic, and I'm drawing a lot from what I had posted there.

BEFORE WE CAN ANY FURTHER. CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT THE LAYERS. THE LAYERS NEED TO BE FIXED. I had a whole major things about layers back in December. There is a bit of text there, but I promise it is worth reading. I can do an update if it is something that you are at all interested in looking into.

Anyway, back to wardrobe other functions/features.

Appearance/Function • The option to view wearables in the "arvee" style. Rather than displaying the wearables item image, wearables are displayed as the preview image (as they would appear on your HA). The ability to switch between the item and preview image would be great as well! • Having a clear indicator to what filters you have selected (some of the beta’s bold, others don’t and it’s a little confusing). •Introducing up and down arrows to the left of the item name (on the list of items being worn). Clicking this arrows would move the item up or down on layer. This feature would make adjusting complicated layering easier, and also would be touch screen/mobile compatible (as the current hold and drag isnt supported on all devises). Click for image reference

Filter/Sorting Options • In the "all clothing on subeta" a filter that allows the user to only see wearables that they do not own. This would amount to the much requested ability to view the wearables that you need to buy.

Saving/Wearing HAs • The ability to save a hair style (and streaks/colors) and have this saved style correspond to a saved HA (but not all HAs). • The ability to save a skin color and base features (whether custom or not) and have this saved color correspond to a saved HA (but not all HAs).

Custom Drawers/"Wardrobe" Page • The ability to change the names of existing drawers. • The ability to customize the order of existing drawers. • The ability to move/remove items into, from, or between drawers from the main "clothes" page (rather than the "wardrobe" page), maybe in a similar fashion to the "checked to inventory" button. • An “are you sure button” (or some other feature) that must be clicked in order to delete drawers from your wardrobe page (on the old wardrobe it is so easy to accidentally delete drawers!).

Hair Salon •The ability to access the hair salon from the main "clothes" page, without changing pages. This would act similarly to the "load saved outfit" popup. • The above feature also leads into the ability to edit ones hair style/color and clothing simultaneously, without having to switch pages. You would not have to pay the 10,000 Sp fee until hitting the "wear HA" option, allowing you to change the hair as often as needed while creating a HA. • An eyedropper tool that can be used from the Hair Salon, allowing the user to pick a color directly from their HA, rather than having to use the color wheel (this feature would not replace the color wheel).

Tanning Salon • A wider range of customizable colors. • Including the original 10 base colors with the lineup of custom tanning salon colors (but with a denotation to indicate that these to not cost Sp to wear). • The ability to access the tanning salon from the main "clothes" page, without changing pages. This would act similarly to the "load saved outfit" popup (and identical to the proposed feature for the hair salon). • The above feature also leads into the ability to edit ones skin color and clothing simultaneously, without having to switch pages. You would not have to pay the 10,000 Sp fee until hitting the "wear HA" option, allowing you to change the color as often as needed while creating a HA.

Misc • The option to have your entire wardrobe collection viewable from your profile, in a manner similar to galleries or collections. • The option to have our wardrobes PIN protected (when removing items), similarly to the PINs for vaults, etc. • A section on the Account Worth page that indicated how much the HA you are currently wearing is worth and/or the ability to see the total price of the items on a HA are worth while in wardrobe. • A way to tell how much time is remaining on applied OLL's. • A way to tell (outside of the achievement page) how many items you have in your wardrobe. This could appear on the "home" wardrobe page.

What I am suggesting wouldn't totally cover up our specific skins, just tint them. Asking for a free way to cover them up would be unfair. Having the option to alter them slightly, like how regular HAs can be blue, purple, orange etc. would be fun. Maybe instead of having the solid cover up skins they could just make the standard set slightly transparent so everyone could use them and tint their HAs without soaking up so many layers? This probably wasn't even the correct forum to suggest this on X3 Did any of that make sense?
