Charlotte drummed her fingers on the table, her eyes shifting from Cali back to Red. His smile got her to smile also, and she placed her palm down on the table, stopping with the drumming. It had been a movement of irritation, but his smile and chuckles were far from anything to even be the littlest bit irritating. No, his smile was welcome and she was glad she had caused it.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Cali jump slightly. And, for whatever reason, that had made her smirk. She was mad that Charlotte was here, and laughing with Red? Good. Charlotte didn't play nice with air headed, jealous, and completely annoying girls. So Cali's frown had made her smile. That smile disappeared once Cali lay her hand on him.
It was funny, really, how Cali played good girl. All in all, what Cali had done was most definitely not a good girl move. No, it was a bitch move, and Char knew what those were like all too well. And the things she had said, oh how hilarious. She thought she had the right to tell Red to control his anger? Cute, real cute. "Asking him to 'control his temper' is like asking you to stop being so bubbly, princess." Char said, her voice free of any sarcasm, but the boredom remained.

Red felt Cali's grip tighten on his arm. He felt her anger as if it were a literal heat coming off of her. Red turned slightly away from the confrontation, looking the opposite way and glancing at the clock. A nice chunk of time still remained in the lunch period. The possibility of Cali making a snappy comeback and beginning a sassy fight was more than likely. He knew this lunch period would be an eventful one.
However, Cali knew the game more than anyone. She knew her way around a fight and began blinking furiously. A tear fell from her eye, rolling down her cheek. "I... I don't want him to get in more trouble. I want his anger under control for his own good... But I appreciate the harsh words." Cali released Red's arm dramatically and turned to gather her purse and books. She stood, once packed up, and walked out of the cafeteria without looking back.
Red looked down at the table where a few tears had splashed down onto the gray lunch table. He furrowed his brow and remained silent. He felt his emotions blank as he tried to logicaly think out the events that had just taken place. Cali stepped somewhat out of line with a comment, and Charlotte said something harsher back to her. Cali cried. Who was the victim exactly?
Charlotte raised an eyebrow at Cali's comment. What exactly was she playing at? It wasn't like she was being really mean. Honestly, calling someone bubbly wasn't something mean to say, and she hadn't meant it in a bad way. She was simply trying to show what it would be like. She hadn't meant for her to take it so personally. Charlotte may not have liked the girl, but she wouldn't start a verbal fight. No, that was below her. Sure, the princess thing she added at the end could have been taken wrong, but that was what Charlotte called girls who acted as sunshiny as Cali did. She meant no harm.
And then the tear slipped down Cali's cheek, and Charlotte fumed. She was trying to get sympathy. Somehow she must have had a plan that if Char looked like the bad guy here, Red would more than likely feel even a little bit bad for Cali. And that pissed Charlotte off to no end. She watched the girl go, feeling upset and pissed off at the same time. She looked to Red, and then let out a sigh of frustration.
"I'm not even going to comment. Either she's much too sensitive, or she's trying hard to do me in. I'm voting on the second. So, I'm done with this, because I can tell for a fact that she just won you over. Bye." She said, collecting her things and storming out of the cafeteria, out the door opposite from the one Cali exited. It came to her mind then that she had also let a few tears slip once she left. The way Cali did that tore her apart inside had broken her, and Charlotte slid down to the floor in the hall, staring at the ceiling.
She was never going to win this, and she didn't understand why she even tried. She was just in Cali's way, and maybe it was time she stepped back, putting her feelings aside. That's what she always did. Always to make someone else happy before her own self, no matter if she hated them or not.

Red looked up at the clock, expression blank and somewhat cold. Of course this would happen. He sighed slightly and looked across at the table at a young man who had witnessed everything. The boy's face was full of understanding, and he only had to utter one word to make Red realize what had just happened.
"Women." The boy shook his head and began picking at the food on his plate again. Red watched him for a moment or two and then shook his own head. He went from having drama between himself and Cali and now Charlotte wanted to fight with both of them. Red was in no mood for any of this. He knew how he would be spending his night and got a bit of comfort in this idea.
Zero and Rika walked into the cafeteria from the door that Cali had exited from. Rika saw what went down between Red and Charlotte. "Rika, go talk to her" Rika ran across the room and out the door. She looked around and finally found Charlotte. "You can't let her win." She said and kneeled down beside her.
Zero walked over to Red and scratched the back of his head as he sat across from him. "Hey bro, you know that this will end ugly. Drama with girls always does." He knew for a fact that it did. Spending a majority of his life in the nightmare realm he knew drama and fighting all too well. The drama with girls he has been with has been ugly. He had a scar on his leg from when a girl went crazy on him, similar to the situation that Red was in. He didn't want anyone to get hurt.
He looked at Red and then added "Just come to my get together tonight. For every problem there is a solution and I'm full of surprises." He got a piece of paper and wrote his phone number down and handed it to him. "If you need to talk or anything just give me call."
Red took the piece of paper and nodded slowly. "I think I will go. It might do me some good to forget the troubles. And surprises?" Red looked back at the clock and sighed. "It seems time is always repeating itself. There's so sanity anymore. Everything just keeps going in this crazy cycle and I'm stuck right in the middle of it." He sighed again and rubbed his temples slightly, but dropped his hands just as quickly and looked up at Zero.
"I appreciate the comfort. You can call me Red, by the way." He wasn't sure if he had formally met the man across from him, and if Red knew anything, it was how to be polite and when. And when a person tries to make you feel better about the bad times, they're worth the effort to be polite. "Why are you throwing this get-together, anyway? Is there a purpose, or is it just for a good time?"
Charlotte had been messing with the strap on her dress when Rika bounded over. She didn't notice that she was there until the moment she spoke up. Startled, Char jumped a little and raised her gaze to look at her. "I really have no choice, Rika. Besides, when has a girl like me ever had a chance?" She asked softly, running a hand gently through her hair. "And also, she knows exactly how to get to me. And to him. She's going to win this stupid fight that I didn't even want to start in the first place." She said with a huge sigh. "And after that happened, I look like the bad guy..."

~ Oh hell I'm so behind ~
"Well see ya." Dale said as he picked up his bag and started striding towards the door. "You got a half detention to?" Jannee managed to choke out quickly before he left. All she saw was his nod a few seconds before the door closed behind him. She sighed, her eyes fluttering around the room in false interest. She could pull out her phone and screw around with her apps, but the teacher was watching. Her book lay upstairs, thrown on her messy bed. And she wouldn't dare pull out her sketchbook, it wasn't worth the risk of someone seeing her illustrations.
"I'll be right back, stay put or face the consequences." The supervisor said firmly as he left the room with a quick pace. The door slammed shut behind him, leaving Jannee alone. Without hesitation she slowly began to count from one to ten in a whisper. After the ten seconds was up, she snatched her bag and raced out the door in a hurry. She jogged down the hallway, trying to keep her steps light and quiet, but failing to do so. She knew she couldn't go to the cafeteria, by now the food would've been put away. So instead she decided to head up to her room, catch up on some sleep while the rest of lunch rolled by, along with her next class. As she turned a corner, Jannee found herself looking at two unexpected faces. Charlotte, and the girl who had showed up at detention. The girl who she thought to be Zero's girlfriend.
Zero said "Well Red, you don't know just how much fun I'm gonna be havin'" The corners of his mouth curved into a smile. He looked around and chuckled "I guess your right but after all I was reunited with someone I lost a long time ago. Let me ask you something." He looked him in the eye. "Which of those girl do you like?"
Rika looked at Charlotte and kneeled down. Her knees to her chest. "Well you probably shouldn't of said whatever you did to her but that's said and done." She looked over at Jannee and waved and smiled
(Sorry it sucks. But I should have my internet up and running by tomorrow. That is if everything goes according to plan.)
Charlotte snorted, rolling her eyes and burying her face into her hands. "It wasn't bad. It was pointing out something that she failed to realize. You know, I said it nicely too. I swear, that girl is just trying to put me in the dog house. The sad part is, it's working." She sighed and pulled her face from her hands with the shake of her head. "You know, she can have him. Has a better chance than I ever will. I'll stick to friendship. He is sort of the closest person to me."

Red gave Zero a near blank look. Within this exasperated expression lay an underlying confusion that Red had been struggling with himself for quite some time. "Zero, I'm going to be quite honest. They're both very special to me. Cali was there growing up. My childhood would have been much worse than it already was without her. However, Charlotte has class and a personality very much compatable with mine. They both mean very much to me.
And that's exactly my problem. Intead of the girls accepting friendship and letting it grow, they both seem to demand full and absolute attention off the bat and hate anyone else who wants it. And I'm not insinuating that I'm a 'womanizer' but since at this point in time both Cali and Charlotte are friends only, they should be embracing that friendship, rather than treating it like it is disposable."
Red rested his chin in his hand and his elbow on the table. He looked at Zero, hoping for the man to understand his dilemna. In a final attempt to clarify, Red spoke once more. "The girl for me will be the one who wants to be my friend and will allow the relationship to grow naturally, rather than forcing a 'dating or nothing' kind of attitude onto me."
"What was that I wasn't listening" He blink at him. "I'm just playin'. But if they've both been really good friends to you, do you really wanna fuck it all up with a relationship? I'm not trying to sound like a dick or anything I'm just saying. I know from experience that a relationship can and probably will mess up your friendship. I've had about 23 girlfriends and I'm not a friend with any of them. Not by my choice either." Standing up he raised his hand in a follow me fashion. "Let's go somewhere more private and talk."
Rika said "I'm not going to tell you what you should do. But what you have to do is follow your heart." She looked her in the eye and her hand on her shoulder. After a few seconds she stood up and said "Let's go see what she thinks." As she pointed over to Jannee.
Red stood tall, felt his back crack, then followed Zero. He kept his eyes on the ground the entire time, lost in the thoughts of what Zero had said. Maybe the man in front of him was absolutely right. Maybe a relationship would be a bad thing, and he should keep both girls at bay. Somewhere deep in his mind, he knew this possibility was near impossible. Even Red, the vicious, ill-tempered, isolation-loving monster would eventually want more from a relationship.
Cali skipped into the dorms, done with her schooling for today due to a teacher's absence. She looked longingly at Red's door for a few seconds, smiling at the name engraved on the golden plaque at the side of the door. Red Manscotti. Her heart melted a tiny bit and she took in a deep breath. She could just faintly smell his cologne permeating through the doorway and into the hallway, the manly scent that reminded her of Red and her childhood. "Red... you need to do a lot of thinking." She muttered to herself, before turning and walking into her own dorm-room.
Zero walked to his dorm and opened the door. Around it were posters, his guitars, and his computer. Sitting on his bed he said "Go a head and take a seat."
(wow that's really sucky. Sorry it short.)
(I'm down to keep it alive. I just didn't think anyone else was still gonna roleplay here.)
I'm willing. I didn't even realize I had forgotten to reply and then... it went silent. Oh my.
