Red sighed, giving up. He himself had had no energy to try to cheer someone else up. He gave it a try, and now it was his turn to be cheered up. He continued searching his mind for happy thoughts and good things to come. He began fantasizing about places he wanted to be, and things he wanted to be doing. He specified every detail in his mind, trying to ignore the disgruntled Charlotte and the perky Cali.

In his head, he saw his room, the lights dimmed just enough so that the navy-blue walls seemed black, and his room felt like a scholar's cave. A desk lamp and a book were the only things active, and Red was on his bed, relaxing with a gruesome story, slipping away into the violence and possibly day-dreaming of other things. He wished this fantasy would consume reality, but he knew it wouldn't. He would have to stay in this class until detention, go through the rest of his day, and get back to his room before he could relax like that.

It hit him that it was almost unreasonable to try to cheer Charlotte up. After all, he had done nothing wrong, and therefore has no reason to compensate. If the girl wanted to be mad at him for Cali appearing out of nowhere, then that's her prerogative, and Red would have no problem giving the exact same attitude back to her. Let her be miserable, Red's life was no easier at the moment, and at least he tried to make things a bit better. He had no shame or regret.

In front of him, Cali took the pen slowly, smiling a warm smile at the boy and then turning her attention to the teacher as he turned away. She knew exactly what the boy was feeling, it was what all men felt. Cali was a succubus, a temptress, and her magnetic pull on men never stunned her. Dale seemed nice enough, and though she had a passion for Red-Red who never seemed to be affected by her charm- she could use Dale as a friend. Maybe some reverse psychology would make Red melt a bit more...

Charlotte glanced over at Red, feeling bad that she had been so cold toward him. There was just too many things going on in her mind. She sighed and picked up her pen again, scribbling a quick apology and then resting her head on her desk. Her soft pink hair fell in curls down her back and with her forehead pressed against the cold desk, covered her face. At some point or another, she knew that she would have to explain to Red these things. She knew how her mind would get.

Red snapped up in his seat, eyes on Charlotte and cursing under his breath in less than a second. He ran around his desk towards her and got on his knees. The entire class was looking, and that got Red even angrier. He felt eyes on him, and he hated it, but he ignored it for now and scooped the girl up in his arms easily. Even if she was miserable and cold towards him later, at least he wouldn't feel guilty about not helping.

He began carrying her out the door, ignoring the teacher yelling at him for not having a proper pass. A hand on his shoulder sent him over the edge. His cheeks red, and his heart racing, the anger got the best of him, and he grabbed the hand of the student and used it to toss him across the hall. Growling and muttering things to himself, he looked at Charlotte, feeling her hunger in her energy.

He slowly approached the nurse's office, got her inside the stale room, and lay her down on one of the somewhat comfortable cots. He signed her in at the front and gave the nurse a curt explanation for everything, still beyond aggitated and unnerved. He wasn't going to stay, he knew better than that. She wasn't happy with him before collapsing and wouldn't be very happy afterwards either. So instead of creating a problem when she would awaken, he left to go back to class.

"Nurse, don't tell her who carried her here. I don't think she'd be very happy if she knew it was me.." And with that, he left the nurses office, leaving Charlotte inside.

Jannee looked over in interest. It was odd seeing Cali faint, after having lashed out at her not so long ago, she found herself hoping she was ok. The whole class had been one big long bore, though many mortals would find the class interesting. The teacher was discussing the history of the supernatural, which sure beat discussing the history of America or anything like that. But Jannee being a night elf, already knew everything there was to know about the past of her kind, and the roots of many other creatures. With 5 minutes left of the class, Jannee would normally be getting restless, with Lunch being so close. But today lunch was not going to be spent eating a much desired meal, instead, she would be stuck in a stuffy room, with a group of mostly strangers.

Shortly after, Red came back from wherever he had been. She wished he would hurry up and get back in his seat, Jannee was anxious to ask him if he knew anything about why Cali had fainted. Though it wasn't too interesting,and Jannee wouldn't care at all if she never found out, she still needed it to take her mind off of the lesson.

Red took his seat graciously, finding a detention slip on his desk awaiting him for tossing a student aside. He sighed, rubbing his eyes and signed it, exasperated and gruff. His eyes shot to the clock and he noticed the small amount of time between then and lunch, so he packed up his things as quickly as possible.

Cali turned, looking at the detention and giving Red a look of disapproval. Somewhere in the back of Red's mind, he knew she would be scolding him sometime today, but lucky for him, he would be absent most of lunch, and the scolding would most likely be held off until he got back to his dorm.

Zero watched as some guy was doing burn outs on the bench press. It was weird because he only used two weights on each side. Soon the shower bell rang. He went to the locker room and got changed into his street clothes. Once changed he lit a cigarette and walked over to a bench and sat down.

OOC: Yes, I think it's just about time the class ended.

Finally the bell rang, piercing Red's ears. He stood mechanically, grabbing his things off of his desk and packing them into his black bag. His mind was blank, for Red was trying desperatley to keep his mind off of Charlotte, thinking that if he thought about it too much, he would be driven to go back to the nurse and check up on her. He kept himself absolutely blank, neutral, and gray as he made his way to the front of the classroom.

Cali jumped right in front of him, demanding an explanation for his behavior, but Red's face said it all. He was too worked up to think about it, and even beginning a sentence about it would cause either himself to break down or the classroom to. Cali timidly stepped out of his way for now, but would definitely be back around later to pick his brain.

For now, Red passed Cali coldly and started down the hallway. As he walked down the hallway to the detention room, he noticed Jannee ahead of him, and his bad mood dropped even farther downwards. If the girl was snappy and vulgar when nothing happened, imagine her attitude when she was being punished. Inside his stomach lit on fire, but he relaxed himself. If I ignore them, they'll ignore me... They had better pray that they ignore me.

Charlotte shifted, finally growing back consciousness. The nurse was waiting at her bed side, holding out a bag of blood to the vampiress. The girl took the bag in her hand, sinking her teeth into the plastic and sucking out the delicious red substance. Noticing that the nurse was watching her, she drained it and handed it back to her. The nurse was about to insist that she stay when the bell rang. Charlotte shook her head and left the nurses office, wondering whom had taken her there.

Charlotte made her way down to the detention room, that wasn't that far away. She paused at the door and drew in a deep breath, pushing down on the handle and stepping inside. She slipped into her seat with a sigh, feeling better than she had before.

Red was in the seat in front of Charlotte, eyes glued on a book and his expression blank, yet somewhat cold at the same time. The only movements he made were the turning of the pages of the book in his hands and the occasional yawn or knuckle-crack. Beside these, he was absolutely still, though he had indeed noticed when Charlotte entered the room.

From behind him, Red could feel her presence. He could smell her aroma and even hear a few fuzzy thoughts, but he remained facing forward. The curiosity almost got the best of him, but Red's will to be isolated was greater than his will to be friendly. Simply turning the page of the book, he took in a deep breath and drew it out slowly.

Charlotte stayed quiet, her head in her hands as she tried hard to think. What was she going to do about this whole mess? The main part of the mess being Red and more or less, Cali. God, if she knew... No. Charlotte wouldn't let her know. She wouldn't let anyone know. She would suck it up and act as though it wasn't a big deal. No, she would act like she didn't have feelings other than friendship for the demon boy in front of her. That was it.

Wait. Why was she still on this? She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. Char knew she shouldn't have let it bug her as much as it did. But she just couldn't help it.

Zero took one last drag off his cigarette. As he blew the smoke out he flicked his ring finger back and forth until the cherry was completely gone. He walked into the detention room and put the half smoked cigarette behind his ear. He took a seat and yawned. He looked over and saw no teacher.

Red lay his head on the desk, taking deep breaths and trying to pass the time with sleep. He opened his eyes to the window to the left, where the courtyard was in plain sight, full of beautiful trees and flowers that always seemed to be in perfect bloom. He stared at them, trying to keep his mind off of Charlotte and out of her thoughts. I need to distract myself... I need to distract myself...

Just then, the door opened and Cali stepped inside, holding up Red's journal with a sickeningly sweet look on her face. She presented the proctor with her pass, then looked to Red with the same intense stare as always. "Mr. Forgetful, you dropped your journal!" She skipped across the room, all smiles and held the book out to him at arms length.

Red sat up straight, mortified and agitated. He grabbed the book as if it were a bomb about to go off. He looked up at her, with a grim look on his face. "You didn't read a page. Did you?" His voice was a low rumble, coming from his stomach as if a growl were underneath it. His eyes traced every inch of her face, looking for the true answer as if he knew she were going to lie.

Cali smiled, stepping away. "Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't." She turned on her heel and stepped gracefully to the door and waved over her shoulder. "See you later, Red!" And with that, the door was closed, Cali was gone, and Red felt more violated and murderous than he ever had before.

Charlotte had been rummaging through her backpack for her notebook when Cali stepped through the door. She didn't look up to know it was her, her nose started to ache because of all the perfume. When she skipped over gleefully and handed over his journal, her head snapped up. She would have been pissed off to, were it to be hers. Of course, Charlotte had a lot of deep, thinking things written in her journal that was under lock and key. The key was tucked safely away, always hanging around her neck. The journal was nestled under her pillow, in the case.

But still, how angry Red seemed to be pulled her from her thoughts, and she wanted to ask if he was okay. But she knew he wasn't, and that it would be stupid to ask something she already knew. But she could never keep herself from speaking with Red. "Are you alright?"

(Sorry I haven't been on lately. I was on for a few minutes to check my facebook but it wasn't enought time to check subeta too. I should have my computer turned back on by next weekend. So I'll be on alot more.)

Zero sat in a chair and said "You do know that this is detention and your not supposed to talk right. Just because you two can do anything except get detention doesn't mean that you can break the rules. But then again I'm one to talk. I break the rules all the time. But where I come from I pay an even bigger price for it" He put his feet in the chair across from him and leaned against the back of the chair that he was sitting in. He didn't really remember much about the light realm or the realm he was in. He just knew the nightmare realm.

That wasn't a bad thing though. Not a good thing either. He had been in and out of jail and schools.

Rika looked at the picture of her brother and then pieced the puzzle together. Zero IS her brother. As the rest of the students were at lunch. She ran out of the lunch room and to the detention room. She stood out side the door and started to cry. She wrote "Elros Oronrá" on her hand. By looking at it She knew that her brother would know it said Zero Mabbitt. She was going to slap him for not getting in touch with her faster but she didn't care what his reaction was. She hadn't seen them since they were kids. The only thing that she didn't know is what a life he had led.

Jannee lay her head in her arms on her desk. Her eyes glared into an empty space on the wall, not knowing whether to dive deep into thought, or clear her mind and drift off to some much needed sleep. She had expected to pass by like every other on of her detentions. But this time the seconds dragged forward at a slow steady pace, because she was very much aware of Zero's presence in the room. She couldn't stop thinking about him, and about what he had asked her. Should she go? It sounded like fun, but what if no one there liked her. Everyone in the school despised her, who's to say it wouldn't be like that at the pier? She suddenly became very self conscious.

Dale watched several people walk into the detention room. One girl in particular caught his attention. It was because she was a vampire, Dale could tell the moment she walked in. Their was something about them that his kind could sense. He smirked at her. "Hey babe, looking good today." He said, his voice smooth and sly. Detention wouldn't be over soon, and he was already dying of boredom. So why not play around and mingle?

Jannee heard Dale's pathetic attempt of flirting. he was that kind of guy. Picking on girls for no apparent reason, it was harmless really. She sighed, her head whipping around to face. "She's off limits man." She said quickly.
