Would you be amenable to taking Subeautique items out of the request pool for Saggitarius?
They revamped Saggi to give out sp based on user prices and what happened was everybody moved all their prices up to 50mil in a matter of hours and people were getting profits in the millions for a single quest and everything was just crazy. Needless to say this change only lasted a day or two.
I must have missed that. In ways, Sagg is pretty broken though, so no need on a change for him, other than letting a broke user complete their quest at least.

Okay...
I left Neopets half an eternity ago because I hated to depend on grinding through their games every day. Some time later I joined Subeta and fell in love because I could make a decent amount of money from questing and restocking, both things that I enjoy a thousand times more than playing games. Not sure if people actually realize it but questing and restocking are time consuming tasks as well so it's not the somewhere on this thread mentioned "Log in for 5 minutes and log out rich again."-strategy. Now with the changes of the restocking and quests system I more and more struggle.
Needless to say that the new "If you want money, play our games!"-mentality makes me sad, it's not only my still existing dislike for playing the same games everyday for hours, there are some games I couldn't even play if I wanted to as they make me feel sick.
Maybe Drills quests can be revamped next? Give those dang plugs a use perhaps?
I think you might be right. I seem to end up restocking a bunch of the same items a few times in a row and then don't see them again for several days. I also restocked the same rarity 98 (red wine) two days in a row last week and found that really odd. Restocking in general needs some help.
500 CSC never sold for as low as 3M. It was pretty much around 7-7.5M when the cards was released and the average price three years ago was around 9M.
It was around 11M-12M before CW, and is now at 15M, because it follows inflation. CWs have little to do with it, CSC always inflated a lot, especially before sales, and with two sales a year, it inflated further. So, CW, no CWs, 500 CSC would still be around 15 millions.
100 CSC was around 1.6M and now sells for around 3M. It went as high as 3.9M a while back, but it deflated
I agree, csc were always pricy regardless of cws. And 9mil was worth a lot more back then that it is now. I do remember during one sale 500 csc reaching the 20 mil mark :)

I think the goal there is to increase his prize pool and do what we've been doing with the other more recent quests and giving all of the prizes weights so that you actually feel good when you get the most wanted 'special' prize :)
💖 ✨ 🤗
That's what makes questing enjoyable to me, the excitement of getting a special prize.
I am just hoping that the steps staff took to come up with a somewhat creative use for all the Free Beers could also happen for the Drills plugs.
since it seems the site is pretty divided (half quests for SP, half games for SP), could you possibly look into revamping ALL of them for "equal" payouts? That way those who only like to do one or the other can still profit?
What I mean is, instead of caliphs tomb giving out 20k at completion, take 5-10k of that and apply it to quests? So for example, you finish caliphs tomb and get 10k sp (perhaps with a chance at a bonus 5k if you complete in with 10 or more cards left), and take that other 10k and give it back to the wizard. Wizard then gives you a steady 5-10k as a reward (plus the items and tokens), with a chance at a bonus 5k and/or bonus 10pt token and/or a bonus rare item. I think throwing in the potential for extras will make people excited. (Hello amulets!)
By dividing the amount of SPs equally around all the things to do around site, then I think you can keep the most people happy because they are not forced to do something they don't particularly care for just to make some money.
If quests are still being done with good frequency, then why does it seem like to me they're not? This is coming from the fact that I remember having a hard time keeping my shop stocked at over 1k items (hello past annoying loading of images if you had under 1k unique items) everyday. I would throw quest winnings in and then vend to make up the difference. Now? I haven't really had to vend like I used to, maybe a few times here and there if I was bored. Certainly wasn't to restock my shop. My shop does good to even drop to just over 1k items total. My shop right now, I AP last night before midnight, 1,258 (1,034). The only quests I've done so far is Saggi and Computer so I haven't even done the ones that give out so many items.
On a good month I used to make enough to pay for a GA and a collection item or two. Now I struggle to even make enough to cover a GA and am close to deciding to drop buying one. Which means that I won't me making much sp.
I should add: I could spend the 15mil a month and still have sp left over. Not when the CSC was cheaper.

- Could you work on making sure there's more demand for these game prizes outside of their collectible worth? Drills Prizes, Carnival prizes, Random Prizes and some other items that count as prizes are asked for by the Recycle Beast, but that's really their only sink and there aren't many of them asked for at any time. Maybe designate another slot on the RB grid to game prize rarity items? Make them fraggable? (I think this has been suggested) Also, old Graveyard Shop items that are given out through Quentin's quests seem to be plummeting in value because there's very little use for the sheer volume of them coming into the system, and the former r98/99s seem to be awarded as much as former commons.
I like that there are more games, but it feels like their payout isn't worth the time it takes to play them....
Even Saggitarius doesn't feel like he's giving out as much. Today he asked for like 4 Subeautique items and 10 Elixirs. I can usually make like 200K from him a day (which isn't even enough to buy a wig in the Alegarten shop).
Keith's graph showed the amount of sP taken in vs amount taken out, but that's the total right? What about on average per user? For the past week I certainly spent more sP than I made..... I hope it's not a case of the rich get richer ...

I may be the only one, but I've liked every one of the changes so far :) I love the direction subeta is going. I feel bad that you and other staff members are always bombarded with complaints, even though you're doing a great job to fix the problems. Keep up the wonderful work 🌈 good luck!

I think the worst inflation came after custom wearables were released. I wasn&;t active at the time, but when I came back after a month or two, 100 CSC cost practically as much as 500 CSC used to. I wouldn&;t doubt that art/profile costs rose because of that, too...

Yeah, that was an exaggeration (I did say "practically"). I think 3-7 million is within the same range for me (could be made in a day or two if I really wanted), but 17 million is kind of a jump. I didn't know the CSC prices went up before the custom wearables came out, so I guess that's good to know. Thanks.
Another suggestion for Quentin-- now that I'm doing their quests (amuletsshahaa), I know and have been waging war against the holiday shop ... perhaps these morostide holiday shop items (and all future goodies that would go to the holiday shop in celebration of the event) could be changed to game prizes and be given out by Quentin year round along side the not-graveyard shop items and amulets c:?

It seems like something they would give out! Granted not a great deal of them are hyper inflated, but it could cut one more collection of items that need a new place to go soon-- while still allowing them to get into the system, plus more could be added each year (the new items that would otherwise go to the holiday shop-- which should totally be turned into a Gift Shop with wrapping papers, cards, birthday supplies, streamers, and stuff but ijs) c:
Some of the Pandemic items might be suited for that as well (just saying! Quest revamps might make a great plug for some of these to-be-homeless items).. like the fleshy drinks and zombie books and whatnot.
I wish the quests payouts where the same as the games to be equal like someone else said before. If i wanted to play games id go on my ds. I just want to go threw a list helping the npc's with items and getting rewards. Some of us don't have time for games and if this continues it might be like gaia right now. All they have are fb games no one really cares to play. Heck people are only there for the forums of if they have money. I wonder what would happen if people got upset with quest payouts.. how many would go on hiatus or leave. What would the economy be than? Oh my gosh what if when they revamp sags and computers quests each of their payouts are 10k or lessXD only people who have time for games would have most sp than. I just pray that doesn't happen.
I really like this idea. I don't actually mind the revamps because I find I'm making money hand over fist anyway (200K out of CT, 250K out of Burrero, a ton out of Sagg, then Matlal, Memory, and Pete if I feel like it), but I always enjoyed doing the quests on the side -- if it didn't cut into the 1M+ sP I keep on hand at all times. I wouldn't mind taking a cut on my income from games if it meant I could do the quests without having to dump my on-hand money on them. The special items aren't really a draw for me because anything I want, I can just buy.
I also saw someone mention an increase in the appearance of good ol' Sebastian. I've been here over a year and have only seen him twice... and you know, I'd actually reaaaaally like those achievements?...
