Yeah, Karasu (my wife, her username on here is ShinketsuKarasu, so I just shorten it lol) and I have been watching videos and tv shows a lot lately. We both tend to read before bed, if/when we're going to or have the time.

Unfortunately, another problem is that I can't afford to pay for an eye exam either, and it's definitely been long enough that my vision's changed, so I need a new prescription before I can get new glasses. Thankfully my vision isn't so horrible overall that I need glasses to see all the time. It's mostly when reading and using the computer for extended periods (I have Astigmatisms in both eyes, but that's pretty much the worst of it. Karasu's vision is much worse than mine). Thank you so much for the suggestion! Would they cover the glasses even if they weren't my first pair, do you think? I did have a pair before, but one (or both, we never really found out at the time) of our dogs got ahold of them when they were puppies and well...did what puppies tend to do lol. ^-^;

Yeah, I'd obviously love to be able to read (whether books or on the computer since, as mentioned, my Astigmatism kind of make it difficult for me to do either). But it's been some time since I've had to temporarily set that hobby aside and I've found other things that I enjoy to do in the meantime, thankfully. And, hey, I can still enjoy the smell and overall aesthetic of the books just by having so many around in our room haha. :)

My wife and I have two bookshelves that are just overflowing in our bedroom (we literally have to keep the rest in boxes because we have nowhere to put them lol). She loves to consume fanfics (at an almost alarming rate haha) on her computer or phone, and I love how well written they are and how much she enjoys them. I'll read fics on occasion as well, but like I said, not being able to physically hold something in my hands just isn't ideal for me so I prefer books.

I've been working on reading the Game of Thrones books but I've unfortunately hit a bit of a road block with since my vision's been getting worse so now when I read the letters keep blurring together and my eyes will tear up, making it impossible to see. I really need to get glasses but I can't exactly afford that right now so, like I said, I've kind of just had to put my reading on hold for the time being which, ngl, majorly sucks. T^T

Thank you so much! I love libraries, there's just something about the smell and feel of a real book in your hands that technology can never really replace for me. Plus they always make for such lovely backgrounds in outfits, so that's just an added bonus haha! ^-^
