i say do what makes you happy. if you like making others happy then focus on that instead of the people who only see you doing it for attention.

i can see it from both perspectives. we can only really know what we truly mean behind what we do in our own hearts and minds, and there are people who think i only do things for attention as well. in my heart i know where my intentions lie and that's the same for you as well. it's difficult to try and suggest what one would do in your situation, because that is a difficult fear to have. i know a lot of people will thank you as the anon in the SB all the time and it gets brought up a lot even without you bringing it up yourself. i wish i could give more advice or anything to help you out, but i haven't been keeping up with psychology studying since i've gotten a handle on my own illnesses and fears.

I get that, and the idea of doing so is definitely in the right place, but that sort of gets muddied when you go about making a scene. It really makes it come off as if you're doing it to garner attention or manipulate others to get things. Anonymous gifting should just be anonymous but you go and make it as easy as possible for people to find you out. You even went so far as to change your status to "The Luminaire Angel" once. I get that you're afraid of people forgetting you, it's understandable. But there are much better methods of being remembered like participating in conversations in the shoutbox, complimenting people's HAs, and hell just gifting people without anon on would do it. Wouldn't you much rather have people remember you as the pleasant generous user lilly instead of "oh yeah that's the person who only shows up around holidays to use people to feel important" I'm really not saying this to be mean. I'm just giving it to you bluntly, because from mine and other people's eyes, that's how you're coming across. And really, what does it matter what a bunch of people on a pet site think of you anyway. I just thought it might be beneficial for you to reflect upon. Hope you have a good night
