Yeah true. I hope the kids will do a bit of reading in their free time. It's so so important. We've been doing mandatory loud reading three times a week in class.
Out school has a small library as well. Most kids really enjoy going there and one of the parents helping this year has made so many great changes with themed tables and all that.
Oh that sounds great! I love such a program to entice kids to read more! It's such an important skill and I love picking books that are fun. :D
Ooh. Is that were kids are supposed to read a certain amount of books? Or are they being read to? If it's latter- that sounds fun. :3
