Yo fellow SKA lover --how ya been?/ I just wante to say WHATS UP, how ya been and thanks for the megaticket in todays potion lottery!! I appreciate that! Gah, I always FORGET that we can do that for others so thats why I dont do it sometimes. I dont know --i just never THINK about that often enough!!

Geez, my budgies are so CRAZY sometimes --at bedtime my female budgie Storm is sitting on her perch the soft one made of twisted cotton material -its safe for birds too coz its MADE for birds and she doesnt chew it. Anyway, my other female budgie Thunder was TRYING to sit on that perch with her but Storm LUNGED at Thunder so she would NOT sit by Storm. lol. Storm has ALWAYS been like that. She thinks that is HER CAGE and that NO OTHER BIRDS can sit by her. Storm is age 4 now and she is FEISTY. She doesnt FIGHT with my female bird Thunder but she is a very BOSSY little parakeet! Thunder puts UP with that behavior coz well Thunder is a very CHILL young bird --she is age 3 now. Their so FUNNY too --when their NOT tired everything is COOL and okay but when STORM IS TIRED --watch out world HERE SHE COMES. Of course I love both of them equally but Storm CAN be MEAN and bossy when she feels like it. Heck. STORM bites me all the time. I IGNORE it too as my vet TOLD me to do that. Storm is always gonna be a biter but he TOLD Me --if you REACT then that bird is getting the REACTION it wants from you. IF you cry out then the BIRD is getting FUN and satisfaction from BITING ME. He could be wrong but my avian vet is EXCELLENT and he has been an avian vet for over 25 years. He is retired now but I still take my birds to their clinic when my other avian vet is too busy to see my 2 female budgies.

aww yeah, he was a very special birdie too. I mean YEAH, all animals (and people too of course) but see Sky was unique --yeah yeah, I know EVERYONE says that about their pets but this boy who was SIX when my avian vet diagnosed him with a malignant testicular tumor (vet said thats COMMON for budgies to get sadly enough --she also said kidney disease is a common thing, esp. in older budgies --ya see SIX is not YOUNG for a budgie) UNIQUE in that he had SO MANY good qualities I would take up the ENTIRE PAGE here listing em all --full of charisma, charm, witty. ELECTRIC personality, energetic, VERY SMART too, very VERY perceptive, friendly too. I respected Sky coz he would not LET me tame him ever. He needed to be HIMSELF and not a TOY for any humans including me.

See people TEND to think ALL PET BIRDS have to be tame. Nope that is not correct if a BIRD does not WANT to be tame they simply REFUSE a humans WISH and desire to be tame. I respected him for that. He was semi-tame though. He LOVED It when I stood by him cheek to cheek me and Sky --I SANG to him, whistled to him and talked to him and made up stories for him. No, he does UNDERSTAND human language with all its complexities --he simply ENJOYED our time together and he always did. He was a pet shop bird. Yeah, I know MOST of you folks are against them but see THEY NEED GOOD AND LOVING HOMES TOO. Sorry but not all PET SHOPS carry BIRD MILL BIRDS ONLY EITHER. I asked BOTH my avian VETS about that and they BOTH said that is a very VERY common misconception.

We have a shop here called Pet Supermarket --its called that coz they SPECIALIZE in supplies and foods for your pet NOT that they sell LIVE ANIMALS indiscriminately coz they dont. I asked Dr. Diaz my avian vet --I said some of my budgies CAME from that shop --DO THEY USE BIRD MILLS?? Well SOME of there stores might I guess but HE TOLD ME -he has BEEN TO SOUTH FLORIDA (I live in Florida too) and he has PERSONALLY BEEN TO THE BREEDERS where these HEALTHY and HAPPY budgies come from. He also told me that their a VERY REPUTABLE, humane and respected bird breeding company too.

I look at it this way --they want to SHOW people just what WONDERFUL pets BIRDS make including budgerigars. You can DEFINITELY adopt/rescue lots of creatures true --I believe in that too of course. But tell me have you EVER seen the FACE of an ANIMAL in a pet shop -that LONGING, that DESIRE the WAITING they go through to FIND a home. Being YOUNG and cute is not enough. Their sweet innocent animals in those shops and they ALL make great companions for people I say.

Support the pet trade?? HA HA thats a joke too. Supporting the PET TRADE is remembering that LOTS of EXOTIC pets have been TAKEN ILLEGALLY from their native country --reptiles, birds, spiders, you name it. POACHERS CATCH THEM coz the money is good. I watch DOCUMENTARIES and have all my life. Like that CHIMP RESCUE show on BBC America --those young chimps are ABUSED by people most of them. They put CHAINS on them, make them sad, feed them very VERY unhealthy foods that are MEANT for people and not chimps then we wonder WHY the chimps are NEUROTIC and troubled from a young age. I know why coz most humans CLAIM to respect animals but they really dont.

I would NEVER keep any PRIMATE as a pet -its not smart and not good at all but I SEE what those wonderful creatures GO THROUGH thanks to humans mistreating them. OH okay the CHIMP was his or her PET but they kept them CHAINED UP OUTSIDE. Goodness have MERCY on them when their time here is up coz no animal should EVER be treated like that I swear.

I used to see DOGS -dogs SUPPOSEDLY loved and cared for as family pets --OUTSIDE in the YARD all day --some chained up --some were not. ITS WRONG. Dogs HATE being chained up OR just kept outside all day and night -you know why --coz dogs are smart and also SOCIAL animals like humans. It broke my young heart as a kid to see them like that. Every DOG I saw I called them to the fence --to let the dog know that SOMEONE cared about them. You ever see a SAD and FROWNING DOG?? Hmm, I have -hundreds of times. Sad very sad. They call that a PET huh yet they have not PETTED the dog or given it LOVE or played with it in weeks coz the dog is always outside and alone or with other family dogs. Truth of the matter is the PUP tore up things INSIDE the house and the PEOPLE got sick of the dogs doing that so they put the dog OUTSIDE full time. Truth of the matter is lots of folks DONT BOTHER to learn HOW to train dogs properly and that is WHY dogs can tear things up in a house. True, Ive seen it happen. Lots of dogs are energetic and IF you dont give them things to play with OR play with them -your house is GONNA turn into one big toy. Its true too. The dog is not wrong either. its PEOPLE that mess up --not the other way around.

Well since lots of people do not believe that animals have a SOUL --I say they do. I say the ANIMAL soul is slightly DIFFERENT than ours. Animals have no desire or NEED for RELIGION like some humans do therefore that is PROLLY why their souls are different. Soul is your LIFE FORCE in my opinion -it is what keeps you alive -not an organ NO, it makes you WANT to live. SOUL gives us that OH LOOK YES IM EXCITED IN A GOOD WAY FEELING. Thats how I describe it anyway.

I think their ESSENCE is always present in the universe once an animal has died. Nope, Im not crazy at at all -matter of fact Im very sane instead. Ive seen things for a long time --good things. People are great too I love people but have you ever FELT the friendship of an animal? I know YOU have coz I can tell that you respect animals and I dig that. Animals are great. people are too of course.

here is why ppl sometimes think Im nutty. During the FEW TIMES I was not able to have pets I HAD PLANTS --outdoor and indoor plants -since they were ALIVE then I called them my pets. NOT SORRY and Im not crazy. PLANTS are living things just like our pets are. Makes sense to me.

Oh yeah, since I have my 2 female budgies now --I ALWAYS play CARTOONS for them when they get up --I normally get them up at 7AM but well their BIRDS --lots of birds get up EARLY of course -so lately Ive been letting them get up around 6AM to 6:30AM -OMFG --my budgies LUFF that SOOOOOOO SOOO MUCH. Their so HYPER and sweet in the morning. Their HYPER all the time but when they get up --their a huge BALL OF ENERGY and I LUFF it.

Why not get a dog or cat?? HA HA --my budgies are brats but LOVABLE brats is why!!!!! They would RIDE the dog and cats backs, nip and chew their ears and face, and tails and TEASE them all day --NOT TO BE MEAN their not mean simply playful. They LOVE to play.

Im on disability for chronic physical health problems so yeah, LUCKILY I get to spend LOTS of time with my little feathered companions. Its so WEIRD too coz Thunder my 3-year-old budgie --she is JUST LIKE ME -extrovert, funny smart spontaneous. She is cool. Storm my other female budgie she is FOUR now --VERY much a loner and introvert --but she is very sweet and endearing too. Of course I LOVE Storm but she refuses to let the OTHER BIRDS I had before TOUCH her. If they sit TOO CLOSE TO HER in the cage OR out of the cage SHE BITES THEM and hard too. lol. Little RASCAL she is!!

She likes her SPACE and lots of it my Princess Storm --I call her that coz she ACTS like a young princess --not a bad one just a VERY spoiled princess that wants you to pamper her and spoil her. She is not tame though. She wont LET me tame her. Ive tried for 4 years. Nope, it does not matter of course but well I just think that SHE would enjoy being a tame bird. She is so PRETTY too and very very smart and observant. She is adorable. She is that medium yet vibrant BLUE color with black all over her wings then she is filled in with white feathers and she has a very pretty white face. She should be a BUDGIE MODEL coz she is divine. Yes, Thunder is a beauty too but Thunder is a GOOF like me --just has FUN all day. lol. Thunder is tame though --it took EIGHT FUN MONTHS but I tamed her when she was a baby bird. Thunder is 3 now as I mentioned in this note. FEISTY too but she is NOT a biter one bit. She does groom my fingernails though and she enjoys it but see that is NOT fear or aggression that is simply NORMAL BUDGIE behavior. For my birds anyway.

I do plan on rescuing ADOPTING a male budgie too -plenty of them around my area NEED good homes too. I dont CARE about the color of the bird either.

Sky was a PALE GREEN with that LIGHT GRAY LACY PATTERN ON HIS WINGS --whatever that is called i forgot --ya know for the TYPE of budgie mutation he is coz I'm not an expert on that. He had a very CUTE yellow face. I swear he was a miniature AMAZON PARROT!! He acted A LOT like my Indian Ringneck Parakeet I had years ago too --very similar personality type indeed. Anyway Sky was very amazing. He was learning tricks in his last month of life. I taught him some but he learned the rest on his own.

I had another male budgie -Rain --he had beak disease --he was BORN with that -ya know where the poor birds BEAK GROWS OUT FAST --yeah, so I took him to my avian vet once a month for that. They simply use a DREMEL POWER TOOL to hone the beak down to a normal size. My vet only charges me 20 U.S. dollars to do that. Other vets charge MORE for that but Dr. Diaz is a very cool and caring vet. Anyway I noticed one day that Rain he was FOUR years old when he got sick --I noticed he was sleeping all day and until bed time. This was about a year ago. So I said to myself --gotta call my avian vet and get this bird seen coz FOUR is young to be sleeping all day. Well they took all the x-rays and stuff, did lab work and well he had MALIGNANT TUMORS all over his body --RAIN DID not Sky. Dr. Diaz SHOWED ME the X-rays on his TABLET so I know my poor bird was suffering.

Now keep in mind this bird went to the vet ONCE A MONTH EVERY MONTH get his beak honed down every MONTH I asked my vet PLZ give him an EXAM to make SURE he is healthy so in a WEEKS time or so my OTHER baby boy Rain got sick. YES YES they all had a good and balanced DIET. Fresh organic veggies, fresh organic fruits, whole grains and sprouted foods as recommended. ORGANC no fake stuff in it SEED mix. ROUDYBUSH PELLETS --some of the best you can buy too -no FAKE colors in it and ALL very high quality. TOM ROUDYBUSH --went to a big fancy CALIFORNIA university to learn science stuff and learned What, how and WHY you need to feed BIRDS a balanced diet. He is smart Mr. Roudybush. Has a masters degree in science too. Easy to do yes but MR. ROUDYBUSH cares about animals just as much as you and me do you see.

Oh yeah, I COLLECT music --not expensive stuff just regular great sounding music of all kinds --on CDs, tapes, downloads, Spotify all that stuff. MY BUDGIES LOVE IT TOO. They sing ALONG to the music all the time.

Do not play ONLY CHILL MUSIC for your birds either -that is another MYTH that humans LOVE to believe. My budgies get BORED of the nice tranquil CHILL type mid-tempo music and then we play fast stuff and all different kinds. Mine prefer EDM, swing and jazz personally. lol. THEY DO THO for real. I do too but I love all kinds of music. Oh yeah, yeah, they DIG ska too how could I forget that. I remember when I FIRST played my SKA CD's to them --they looked AT EACH OTHER and then at me as if to say --what is this DELIGHTFUL yet STRANGE music.

You see PARROTS sing to each other in the wild -they name each other too. You know this coz your smart. Its true though --I read a lot --its why I have a web provider -to learn stuff, learn more about NATURE, plants and its creatures and well to appreciate ALL the fine arts and just well EVERYTHING. My mind is like a SPONGE coz it sucks up EVERYTHING I take in. IDK mang, my brain CRAVES information, ART, social interaction with other people, just ANYTHING really so I FEED my brain wha it wants, mental stimulation and the pursuit of intellectual desire. I like to get smart. yeah yeah, I went to college it was very easy for me and fun too. I like meeting ppl that way too. I do SUCK at math tho, I wont LIE about that. Math is BORING to me. lol.

Thats the best description I have for myself really. Glad we met too. I always look at those AMAZING and heartfelt GIFTS you gave me so yeah, your always in my thoughts. Ah yes you ARE beloved by me too. I tell you my birdies would LIKE you. Well I hope ya do have PETS coz well they have LOTS to offer us humans ya know. They have so MUCH to give us including LOVE. Their amazing really.
