Hey, remember waaaay back when one of your mice died and the other one ate the corpse and you guys asked me why and I was like "Small animals always eat their dead friends/cagemates, I don't know why, they just do"?

I found out why they do it. It's an instinct leftover from the wild; basically, they're disposing of the body so that the smell of it rotting doesn't attract predators to the nest.

I know it's a long time after but I thought you might like to know!
