Hi Verismo

Thank you for sharing your wedding cake. I can't remember when I ate a carrot cake the last time. I guess it's over 15 years ago. cough Must be super tasty. What do you mean with "real red velvet cake"? I only know it as "Red Velvet Cake" but what's the "real"? Has it a special ingredient to claim it as "real"?

Huh? Is it a typical tradition to smash cake into the face of the partner? o.o I only knew it from watching TLC series and see people in Canada, the UK or the USA do this. But it's not a common tradition here in Germany (as long as I know). It's more popular to dance together or sitting at the tables and speak. Very unpopular here in Germany. >o<

That's so nice that a couple from England celebrated your big day. I guess it's a friend from you or your husband? Did you also save a slice of your wedding cake including the married couple on top of the cake in your freezer? For eating in 5 years. >o<v
