Sorry for the long silence! I kept remembering to comment back at all the wrong moments. My summer's almost over. I'm going to start teaching (!) in a couple of weeks. I've been working on setting up my classroom and coming up with lesson plans and such for the last several days. This is my first time having a classroom of my own and I'm pretty nervous, but excited too. How have things been going for you?
Changed my mind about Anne with an E again. It is stupid and disgusting and I hate it.
0/100 would never recommend.
Hihi. Sorry for not responding. I totally forgot until last night. I've been trying to clear out my netflix watch list while on my brief respite from school, and last night I decided to give Anne with an E a second chance. Someone had told me to try it again with the view that it is more realistic than most interpretations of Anne of Green Gables. When I tried to watch it the last time, I was frustrated with how different it was from the books, tone-wise. It felt too dark. But this time around, anticipating that, I think I might actually like it. Which is bad for my netflix watch list, because I can't strike it off, but c'est la vie. XD Anyway, I thought maybe you were the one who had recommended Anne with an E to me, but looking back over our messages, I guess maybe not.
They're all education classes, so they have their interesting and not-so-interesting parts. It varies for each class. I wish I had money, but I guess I'll have to reconcile myself to not. XD I'm going to teach in Arizona at least for the first couple of years. After that, I'm not sure. I really don't like living in a hot climate. I want to go somewhere that is green. There are a few green and coolish places in this state, but they are sparsely populated, remote, and expensive. The other day I kinda considered California for the first time ever. I'm sure my family would rather I didn't go far. I kinda want to go back to Chicago too.
How are things going for you non-work-wise? How's the hubs and the dog?
What about the Spain job?
I guess 5 years aren't too long. The older we get, the less long they seem. You really don't like your bosses, eh?
I once had a tree buddy. In 5th grade, I went to school with a weeping willow in the playground, and I pretended that it was like Grandmother Willow on Pocahontas.
That's okay, I've been MIA for even longer probably! I started grad school in January and it's just basically consumed my time. This is the last week of classes for the spring. Unfortunately I don't get much of a respite because summer classes begin in a couple of weeks. But hey, a couple of weeks are something at least!
How has the job hunting been going?
