wow a MONTH later and i'm replying (can you guess how my semester has been going) it seems like right when you're about to graduate they're always like OK, TIME TO CRANK SHIT UP TO 11 because i am just running myself ragged. in theory, my schedule gives me fridays off, so of course im spending 6 hours in the geoscience learning center doing extra microscope work/just trying to stay on top of my labs (im getting to know my TAs really really well)

and god you're right, i have no idea how we'd coordinate any kind of hangout sesh, but it'd rule so hard to meet up with you. SOME DAY WHEN WE'RE BOTH GROWNUPS WITH THINGS LIKE "VACATION TIME" AND "STABLE INCOMES"...

i was visiting with a bunch of my friends and low key scouting the place out, because im currently applying for jobs up there. i finally came to the conclusion that i flat out can't live here anymore, and washington seemed more suiting to my needs re: climate, local geology, etc. plus i know people there, have family over the border, etc. all i gotta do now is just... get hired....

I FEEL YOU THOUGH ON THAT GRADUATION THING. i'm one semester and a month's field work away from my degree (finally ! ! !) and seriously man, fuck school. it was fun for a while but im so DONE WITH IT. doesn't help that i hit 1 day of the new semester, then immediately get sick for a week. off to a running start over here
