BARELY!!!!!! It has been over 80 degrees in my room every day. I took a sick day because I was feeling so bad. They have put 2 huge contraptions in my room claiming that they are "air conditioners". They are not. They just create more humidity. Plus, they are extremely loud so I am having to shout for the kids to even hear me. I think I need to take the whole semester off. It is very frustrating. It is still going to be over 100 degrees all week this week.

I too, am a sweater - as in a person who sweats. :P It is to the point that people ask me if I am all right since I shine so much. I am not looking forward to this week. My room was 84 degrees last week. And unfortunately the other rooms on my side of the hall had their air go out too. So, Friday afternoon all the 1st and 2nd graders went to the library to watch a movie.

The district is expecting us to do all of this testing. Ha! In this heat??? Sigh . . .

Ugh! School. It is too flippin' HOT! The AC in our building is not working correctly. One of the higher ups in the school district swindled money out of the building maintenance department. When schools had put in requests for things like AC problems to be fixed they would send someone out to the buildings but the problems never really got fixed. We have had different maintenance companies working in our building for the last 3 weeks. Since it's taking so long so fix it tells you that the previous work was really shoddy. All of that to say that it is HOT and HUMID and I get cranky starting with recess, The crankiness then lasts until the end of the day.

Have you ever been so hot and sweaty that your shins and other random body parts that normally don't sweat are covered in filmy wetness? I have to leave the building when the kids do (after school) because it is too hot to concentrate and get work done. It's been an exhausting start to the year. 😳

I really didn't expect you to remember that I could not get on to Neopets. Let's see . . . kids these days . . . those cartoon vampire hunters whose name escapes me. I tell ya, I am too old to be teaching now. I don't even care about what interests them because it is always stupid stuff. I used to be able to tolerate their passions. LOL Pokemon is still a big thing.
