Yeah, I guess I can understand that but it seems like of cruel to break up just because he needs to take care of his parents and fix their finances. When I broke up with my ex, we had a lot of the same friends and I had to let them all go because it was just too weird to hang around them and know they were also hanging out with my ex.

It sounds like she isn't sorry at all. I would expect an apology if she actually felt bad even if she is embarrassed.

Money is always such a source of contention. My family is currently fighting over it too. My dad is dating a woman from Ghana who is three years older than me (it is as crazy as you think) and he put her in the will and both of my sister are so pissed off that they now have to split it 5 ways instead of three. (we also have a not so secret half brother who is like 20 years older than us). Which to me, I just do not care what I get from it.
