Its rare to find a cat in an Egyptian home, I never saw a dog in anyone's home. Now Egyptians that have traveled out of Egypt are more like to have a pet. I am not sure why, but it did take years for my hubby to have a cat or dog in the house. There area lot of homeless cats and dogs there.

Hi I spent the day advising my nephew and his wife on taking care of a dog. They are from hubby's side of the family, and most Egyptian dont know about the care of a dog. There not in many homes there. My nephew moved to California. He got a 1 year old yellow Labrador today. I even sent youtube videos for them to show their young children on how to act with a dog. I saw video of them with the dog, his really mellow around their 2 kids. His really good on a leash, too.
