OMG I AM THE WORST. I forgot to reply, accidentally deleted the notification, and then forgot majorly ;-; I AM SO HORRIBLE PLEASE FORGIVE ME ;-;

That's interesting, because I don't think I've actually known any Stanley's myself. I named my aviator giraffe Stanley though xD

It would be pretty comical, I'll give you that xD

We are getting married on February 6th c: It's coming up so soon xD Hey, that's okay! No one says you have to. I am curious though, what makes you feel this way? I can understand the guilty feeling though, I'm sorry you have that. I had that feeling when my first bf (ever) asked if I ever thought about getting married, and my gut reaction was a total freak out. He wasn't proposing or anything, but I still felt bad afterwards (and it wasn't long after that that we broke up too...) For me, I wasn't sure if I would ever be ready for such a thing, but it just felt right this time around :)

OKAY. Since I've been so bad every time before this, I'm going to dish on the last story, no matter how long it takes me to type up xD So this woman is divorced after like 20 years with her ex, but no kids, just a couple dogs. She claims to have managed rentals of her own while being married, in addition to being a paralegal and now a finance manager/advisor/something for a grocery store here that her nephews bought I guess. Knowing this, you would think her to be relatively competent in figuring out how to take care of things in a house. She kind of likes to talk down to us when we go over to take care of a maintenance thing, saying stuff like "I know exactly how to do this, I've done it before, but I didn't want to mess with your house" but with a bit of attitude. She comes off as a bit of a prick if you ask me. The first thing she called us over for was the shower, saying it wasn't getting hot. We were very confused because we had just moved out a month or so before and the shower was fine. Turns out, she wants to be scalded by her shower water, and a part in the shower nozzle was preventing her from getting scalding water (the water was still plenty warm in my opinion). The next call we got was after a big storm came though and wreaked havoc all over town, downing trees and branches and taking out power in places. It took down a decent sized branch from the tree in the backyard and she wanted it taken care of and hauled off. (I should mention that we have a property management company in place as a middleman for us, but we take care of maintenance calls that we are capable of to save some money.) The property manager apparently did not inform the tenant that we were coming to take care of the branch (despite the fact that I told the manager a very specific timeframe) so the tenant was upset when it was us that showed up, and that we just started working on the branch instead of knocking on the door first... She also then informed us that the power was out and had been for like 24 hours at that point (which I could do nothing about, that's all on the power company, and she wasn't the only one in the neighborhood with no power). She griped about not having direct communication with us and almost tried to get us to trade numbers, but I didn't want to (and for good reason. see more story haha). We went back to cleaning up the branch and loading the pieces in my subaru because we have no truck xD We couldn't fit everything in, so we were gonna go dump what we had and come back for the rest. I tried to go up to the house to tell her this, but she was on the phone and clearly ignoring my attempts to get her attention politely. I overheard her complaining to whoever she was talking to about the power being out and her heart medication that had been in the fridge was ruined because it wasn't kept cold. When we came back for the second load, we just put it in the car and left, didn't even talk to her that time. We figured that was the end of it. BUT ALAS, IT WAS NOT. The next day at work, I get a call from my property manager to tell me that "something interesting" had happened at the rental the night before. My first thought was "oh boy, what is she mad at us for this time?" but it turns out that when the power finally came back on, it caused a surge and fried the control board in the dishwasher, and it apparently turned on and started leaking water all over the kitchen. What's funny to me about this is that she called the property manager in a panic, not knowing what to do. I asked her if she told the tenant to turn the water valve off (because duh? at least in my opinion) and I was kind of amused that this high and mighty tenant who had managed her own rentals couldn't figure out how to turn off the water.... I mean, I'm pretty new to this stuff, and my first thought is still "turn off the water," you know? Anyway, apparently the property manager instead tells her to turn off the breaker that powers the kitchen, which didn't actually work, but eventually they figured out the water valve, and the tenant cleaned up the water on the floor. Since it was a non-essential item, the property manager told the tenant to just go to bed for the night and we'd worry about the dishwasher the next day. Well, apparently, sometime in the middle of the night, there was a loud pop sound and the rest of the water that had been in the dishwasher all dumped out. Ended up sending one of the company's handymen over to check the dishwasher out, and that's when we found out that the control board was fried and we'd basically be needing to replace the dishwasher. To my pure personal amusement, stores were having supply issues with appliances and it was going to be weeks before one could be delivered. And because the tenant is annoying to us, we didn't immediately start looking for a new dishwasher for her xD After all, I recall her saying when she moved in that she "preferred to hand-wash dishes" anyway xD It was probably at least 3 weeks before we finally did anything. We ended up finding a random dishwasher at the store that had been returned, so it was heavily discounted, but it was never used. So we picked it up and just put it in my car, and then dropped it off at the rental the next day. We had the company's handyman install it for us because I just didn't want to deal with her xD (even though we've swapped out dishwashers a couple times in the last year, so we know how to do it) When it was done, we picked up the old junker dishwasher and took it to the dump. And that was finally the end of that saga. Then, we got a call that the fridge wasn't cooling her food like it was supposed to. She said it was turned all the way up, but still wasn't cooling. Odd, I thought, considering that the fridge wasn't even in the kitchen when we dropped off the new dishwasher. I talked to a couple people at work who told me that if you lay a fridge down and too much of an angle, it can mess up the coolant and compressor. I was guessing this is what happened because I assumed she had moved the fridge to the basement, presumably because she wanted her own fridge in the kitchen, and she's allowed to move it as long as it goes back to the kitchen when she moves out. When I told the property manager that the fridge wasn't even in the kitchen when we dropped off the dishwasher, she was all confused because it had been in the kitchen during the last inspection, she had photos of it being there. So, she went off to contact the tenant, and we never heard anything again xD Eventually I asked the property manager about it again, and she basically told me that we were going to ignore it because the tenant never got back to her to tell her it was still a problem. So....no clue if the fridge works or not xD But I guess I'm not gonna worry about it haha OH BOY WALL OF TEXT. I hope this doesn't break the comments xDD

That sounds like so much fun!! Was it awesome or what?! We dressed up as Scoops Ahoy employees from Stranger Things and watched some movies and handed out candy for a bit. I was surprised by how many trick or treaters we got considering covid and all. I wasn't expecting many, so I gave the first few big handfuls of candy xD I ran out quickly! Ooops xD Your halloween sounds much more exciting than ours haha.

I get on here pretty much every day, but I clearly have an issue taking care of my notifications! I'm sorry it took me this long to reply!

I'm gonna have to revisit my want list to remember xD I think Stanley will be a cool one though :D

Lol, when this whole thing started, we joked about splitting up the lab equipment and each of us taking some of it home xD Extremely unrealistic, but funny to think about. Oh yikes, that really sucks to see it like that. I was worried about my mom catching it, but she hasn't. I had a couple coworkers who had to quarantine for a while because they probably had it, but they got better and everything was fine. I haven't known anyone personally who passed from covid.

I'm hoping to have the same success with my own wedding xD SO CHAOS.

Omg, I'm such a terrible person. I am once again replying on my lunch break and I have to go back really soon xD The story I want to tell you is kinda long and I don't want to cheat you out of the details. SO, I'm gonna have to try again when I'm not on lunch. I PROMISE I WILL TRY HARD TO FIND TIME <3 I'm so excited to hear from you again!!!

I wasn't sure how I felt about the change at first, but I've decided that I'm okay with it. Gives me the opportunity to get some names I wanted a long time but belonged to very active people xD Even though I haven't done it yet xD

Yeah, it's been weird. The weirdest part for me though, is how much my routine HASN'T changed. My work was deemed "essential" so we kept operating through the whole thing. I work in a chemistry lab, so none of my work can be done from home either, so I didn't even have a change in schedule. A lot of the people at work were put on a split schedule so only half of them were on site at one time, and during the time they weren't on site, they were working from home. But since I can't do bench-top chemistry in my kitchen, I was kept on a normal schedule. The biggest changes for me at work were the fact that we had to clean a lot more frequently and we had to wear masks and of course, we only saw half the people on site at a time. We went to a friend's wedding last month, and honestly, there was no social distancing and not a single mask. But we didn't get covid, so I guess we're okay? xD I live in a smaller population area anyway, so that helps too.

I do have some fun stories, and a very recent one too! I started writing this during my lunch and now I have to get back to work, so I'll tell you more later!!

Thank you <3 I'm really excited!

There have been ups and downs, some things that make long time players leave, but I guess I'm a casual enough player that none of the things have made me so angry that I wanted to leave. The most recent upset was them making pet names non-unique. But yeah, I still like it here :)

Wow, that's a lot, though I guess it has been a long time xD I'm glad that you're happy with the changes you've made in your life though! The pandemic has messed with everyone so much it seems like, but it's cool that you got to do some fun gardening stuff despite it :)

Let's see, for me....well, I did the college thing too, kind of had my own breakdown, and struggled with one semester in particular. Got back on track for the most part, found a temporary job for the summer following graduation. I had planned to move back to my parents after that, but found that I didn't want to when the time came, so I started looking for other jobs in the area I was in. Got super lucky and found a pretty dang awesome job that I've been at for almost 5 years now. I bought a house, then jumped into the world of landlording when we moved into a new house but decided to keep the old one as a rental. That's been an adventure in itself because my tenant is kind of...bitchy xD Oh, and I just got engaged! :D so, crazy world, right?

I actually play subeta pretty regularly! It's just a nice place to hang out I suppose :) I'm actually surprised to get a second response from you on the same day too! This is so exciting! It's been so long, I don't really remember where we left off! High school probably? xD maybe college, idk xD Adulting sucks a lot, but it's an interesting adventure. So much had happened, I don't even know where to start!
