Oh my god you gave me some cold hard cash! Thank you! It wouldn't be a birthday without a "Burpy Hapday" from you! Thank you also for all the kisses! I cannot keep up!
How's life for you these days? Any success with the job hunt?
I guess the number of ways it can kill you is so varied they've thrown the net so wide to catch them all that they're also catching others. But then even if the virus itself isn't the direct cause of death, the effects of overburdened staff and facilities might. How sad that no one was able to visit him. Not the way he deserved to go after 94 good years.
I saw that RV explosion thing in the news. They're thinking the person behind it might've been in there now aren't they, and that it's their tissue that they've found. Very strange that it was rigged to give a warning and tell people to evacuate, and give a reasonable length of time to do it. It's like something out of a movie.
Oh that's rubbish. You always want to think that everything that could be done was done, not to be left doubting whether it was actually the hospital that killed him. I'm seeing a lot of folk doubting the accuracy of the covid count lately, saying that deaths are being attributed to covid when they weren't the true cause of death. Were your family able to visit him in there? I don't know what the restrictions are these days. It seems to change with the wind anyway.
Fingers crossed your interview wasn't as bad as you think it is. You might be surprised! Though that RV bomb thing sounds awful. On Christmas Day of all days. Why on earth did they do that. Aren't things bad enough without causing more death and destruction.
Oh no, that's awful news. I'm so sorry. You did well to remain grandparented for so long though, and I'm glad you were able to get over here for the funeral. How old was he? I hope his passing wasn't sped along by the covid situation. I don't understand the US unemployment thing... the fact that your benefits can run out because you've been unemployed for too long sounds ridiculous. I'm glad you've at least got a part time job to keep you going now though. I hope it's good people and good work.
