Oh man, we've had a SAGA with trying to get furniture for our place! We ordered a living room set from the Brick and twice they told us our items were backordered.. but we had to call them instead of them communicating with us. They offered us zero compensation and so after 5 months of being dicked around we cancelled our order and ordered a set from elsewhere.. but it's not due to arrive until April -facepalm- So for now, we lie in bed xDD
Treechat has been abandoned, yes. Let me ping you to the latest place I chat!
My friend is actually the wedding coordinator at our venue (well, was.. she's not sure if she even has a job anymore due to the pandemic!) and she assured me that if we only have about 10 guests we'll be refunded the rest.. but I'm not overly optimistic. I know a lot of people are thinking that the world will be back to normal later this year.. but I think we're in this whole social distancing and masking thing for another year.. so we figure just go for it and if a few years from now we feel like we didn't get what we wanted out of our wedding day then we'll throw a vow renewal party.
OMG talk about being a real adult.. cleaning my house brings me joy!! :D
I'm over it now, but was pretty bummed about the whole wedding thing back in April/May. We actually haven't been able to get any money back. We've picked a date for this May and have pretty well decided that we're going to do it regardless of what the restrictions are. If we can only have 10 people then 10 people it is. I don't want to delay my life any more. I'm just concerned about getting back some of the venue money. We had basically already paid it all off for about 115 guests :/
I'm still at the spa, yep. We were completely closed March-June and then were allowed to reopen for massage therapy.. I was the first person back in the building to help get the schedule all organized etc. A few weeks in we were allowed to do esthetics again so I was able to take clients as well as work the desk. We obviously have capacity rules and so everyone's shifts got shortened and the demand for appointments hasn't been there. It's been up and down. We were pretty quiet except for December which was wild and then we got shut down again. No esthetics right now with the current restrictions.. so I'm only working reception which is SUPER boring when there's only one massage client every like 45 minutes. Better than 0 though I suppose!
It must be nice to not be alone in your condo though, no? I can't imagine living alone and having to work from home through all of this. Exciting to upgrade! We bought a house in August so we just went through all of the stuff that comes with that. What a wild ride!
