oh gosh you just described the dream 😭 over in nyc its been 40-50 degrees, then all of a sudden the other day it went all the way down to 9 and hasnt raised too much since. luckily for me, you can feel the heat as soon as you walk into my apartment, i feel so blessed to be in a good place right now ;w; but i know just what you mean about having to build a social circle from scratch. im doing a bit of that myself, and im proud of you for recognizing your goal and working toward it!!! it is not an easy thing to do 😓

ooh yeah midsommar is a great movie!! the ending had me glued to the screen. ive only seen it once and gotta admit i didnt totally get it at first, but i should watch it again. one movie like that for me is the korean film Parasite. i watched that twice and fell in love with the writing. i wanna watch it again again, idk what exactly i'll get out of it this time but its entertaining at least!~ hehehe

aaww im sorry to hear youre still having laptop issues X( weird that the usb mouse worked at first, then decided not to. i hope youre able to get it fixed soon, esp if its sentimental. it'll be cheaper to repair than having to get a whole new laptop too. but sometimes its good to treat yourself when you need it too!

omg omg that is so very cool. funnily enough i also had a music buff friend who taught me to explore!~ its awesome to be open-minded, theres so much music out there it doesnt do good to stay stagnant. i know celine dion and enya are popular but i havent heard their music, i should try some out. its hard to go wrong with pop! ooh animal collective has a new album?! whats your favorite song off of it? i'll give it a listen! i tried a few of their albums, but was most into merriweather post pavilion and feels. i was also a fan of the new lorde, she's really coming into herself as an artist. not that she wasnt already, but even more so :p i have not heard of kurt vile or jonathan bree but i'll give them a try if you think i could appreciate it~ :D LETS SEE, for me it wholly depends on what kind of mood im in. for example today was a vaporwave kind of day for some reason lol. yesterday i listened to christmas music since it was appropriate. but generally i listen to a lot of indie rock, pop punk, japanese city pop, hip hop, electronic... the list goes on but those are my favs! my favorite indie band is Phoenix just based on how much of their discography i like. jeff rosenstock is a beautifully introspective guy which seeps into his music. say anything, weezer, and 12 rods are all such great bands too. god theres just too much good music out there to mention 😭 also very into ben folds five, whom i recommend if you like piano rock! i'll also take any recommendations you have, expanding your music world is just too fun

omg i can see where youre coming from 🤣 eggnog is Thicc. but aaaaa its sooo gooood, i tried it as an adult and am super into it lol. i didnt like a bunch of food when i was a kid, but your tastebuds change (update?) every 7 years. im surprised to find i like stuff now that i didnt used to!! its worth a shot if you get the chance :D aww thank you so much for your warm wishes! <3 <3 im sad my grocery store ran out of eggnog so i wasnt able to have it on christmas this year, but i cant complain since i was able to drink it last week hehe. as for the shopping, i was able to get everything in time! the only thing thats left is coming for my friend who i'll get to meet after the new year so it works out ^^ hope you were able to get it all in time too!
