who, Deledu/Dafydd? pretty much. xD he's technically - 's grandson so though - tries not to interfere sometimes he gets a liiiittle protective.
in Ellis's defence it was a total and complete accident, he was trying to find away to shorten the hundreds of thousands of years long lifespans of the godkin to 'just' around twenty thousand, the lifespan of Dafydd's race, if they wanted to live for just that long that is, mostly to be able to grow old with their lovers instead of staying young and watching them die. so he had good intentions!
unfortunately he's just about the unluckiest guy in the universe. luckily, he's married to just about the most forgiving person in the universe. EXCEPT FOR WHEN YOU RUIN ELLIS'S DAY. then you will probably literally get your ears yelled off by a very angry redhead and or steampunk-y television headed robot.
essentially it was over Deledu. he had lived and ruled at that point for around 20000 years straight without being taken down, so the scientists who actually just wanted to take over the planet disguised this effort as being angry that he had never even been challenged. also over his superior engineering, most monitorheads died off at the ripe old age of 3000 or so just because they are quite honestly tired of life, or because they have too many mechanical issues to be fixed, but Deledu had been alive and ruling as long as the race had. somehow.
little did the actual supporters of this revolution know(not the ones that were actually just trying to take over the world that needed a convenient mask) that Bellamy, the inventor of the entire race who had been assumed to be dead for again, around 30000 years, had been alive the whole time, servicing Deledu's complex machinery and giving him advice on how to run his old homeplanet.
