Oh excellent! I'll take a look tomorrow if you want to DM me the link. Just heading off at the moment.
She is, honestly by a year. ;_; And I worry she started the process and it went wrong, because part of her abdomen near one of her book lungs looks cracked and is a little misshapen. She is still moving around and eating and otherwise seems fine, but you know how it can go. I am hoping it is just that she is about to molt and that's just her old exoskeleton showing wear.
There are also a ton of tropical springtails in with the isopods. I was going to actually see if the spiders would eat the isopods so figured I'd make a substrate mix I could dump in their enclosures, before I found out isopods can kill tarantulas post-molt. So now they just hang out as an isopod-springtail mix. (I did experiment with trying to feed Amara a dairy cow isopod as well, where I could keep an eye on it to make sure it didn't hide...her fangs clacked on it and the isopod got flipped like a foot away. Uncurled and shook itself off while Amara just waved her front legs around and repeatedly cleaned her chelicerae as if to say, "What even was that? Gross!"
A P. Cambridgei, a Grammostola Pulchra, a Choco Gold-Knee, and an M. Balfouri. The Pulchra is my favorite, although I'm a little worried about her. ;_; She needs to molt. Oh, I also have a container of dairy cow isopods!
I appreciate the thought and will keep it in mind!
Oooh, invertebrates! And reptiles! I don't have a snek anymore, but I still have my tarantulas and I love them. What is your favorite creature?
