Dude same, I loved some of the Pokemon, like Petilil and Liligant, but it was definitely missing something. I'm not even sure what, just, that whole region never gripped me like others had. Like... like it was a bad spin-off? I guess? IDK. I also never once managed to get the freaking dream world feature to work so I missed out on that feature completely as well. :c That's probably the one generation I won't complain about if they never do remakes of it. (Although, if they do, I would be willing to give it another chance, especially if a remake means new graphics and mechanics lol.) Oh yay, I'm glad to hear that!! Like 99% of people I talk to about the Alola region are STILL BITTER that they did away with gyms lol. I actually like it when gyms add some kind of puzzle before the gym leader and trials were basically the same concept so I enjoyed them. xD I definitely traded for a few shinies myself back in the day but I'm still pretty glad I've figured out a method for hunting them myself that works. xD YAS, ROTO HATCH AND FLAME BODY TO THE RESCUE! I use a Talonflame for my incubator-mon lol. It has a weird Japanese nickname, Nenekitsutsune or something like that, so I just call her Nenki since it's easier to say lol. I must have gotten her over Wonder trade or something, I don't actually remember. xD I'm not huge on natures or stats either, but I kind of like being able to breed them for trading purposes anyways I guess? xD It's weird, some of the super effing psycho-crazy overly competitive trainers would rather have the right natures, IVs, and abilities than shinies, and I've definitely acquired at least a few of my shinies by trading away perfect competitive Pokemon before. They always want them at level 1 too, probably so they can train them up a specific way or something.... (Bonus when the Pokemon knows certain egg moves.) I'll have to track him down but I can definitely get you a shiny Popplio! I don't remember which game he is on, but I'll find him and let you know. xD That's a great nickname!! I got her during an older event. I'm so glad the game logs capture dates lol, I caught her on 2/26/18. She was also my first-ever party hat pikachu. xD HOW DID YOUR MUDKIP DAY GO???? I got seven just by driving really slowly around my neighborhood LOL. They all have terrible stats but oh well, they'll be good for trading with later. Dude, I went with my Dad to a giant shopping area nearby for Treecko Day and got 15 shinies, it was nuts. I'm sadly going to miss Ralts day :c They didn't announce it far enough out for me to get work off (rude) so I'm going to beg my sister to come retrieve my phone and play it for me. I'll probably have to bribe her with food or something lol. TEAM INSTINCT, YEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I dunno about where you live, but around here, almost everyone is either Mystic or Valor, and those two teams have this completely outrageous rivalry, like "refuse to let you have a single gym for 2 minutes" kind of crap, it's ridiculous. I'm not a competitive person, and I didn't want to go anywhere near a rivalry that intense so I went for Instinct. I also think it's the most fitting team for me anyways, so it worked out. xD How is it for you where you are?

(No worries!! Busy is as busy does. xD) OMFG Same though, I didn't like gen 5 at all!! I guess it was also timed poorly and I was going through a kind of slump at the time which also affected my opinion of it? I definitely remember having to force myself to finish Black version. That's also the only gen I never ever wanted to replay. I kept a more or less completed game file around for the sole purpose of helping me move along a bunch of old pokemon after PokeBank was released, but that was about it. Thinking back on it now though, I can't really figure out why I hated that generation so much??? It was pretty much the same song and dance as previous generations, so I def have a hard time putting my finger on the exact things that made me hate playing it so much. It might have been an aesthetic thing? Who knows at this point LOL. I'm glad to find another person who loves Alola too!! I like that it's fresh and different from the old games, I don't get why everyone else was so mad about it being trials instead of gyms. xD I got really good at the SOS chaining method for shiny hunting too! I have like four different smeargles for it lol. Oh yay!! Random shinies are the best ones! My luck is pretty good too. :D I generally encounter at least one random full odds shiny in each playthrough I do. That's awesome!! Shiny Shinx is a great one! My shiny Luxray is a female named Hakari :D I had to dex nav or whatever the method was back then. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND, stop at 100 eggs and try again laterrrrrr X____X in all honesty though, I think the masuda method is my new default shiny hunting method because it's so easy to do lol. I like that I can drop 18 eggs into the hot springs isle of poke pelago and then just check on them later, and I definitely like the addition of roto-hatch in USUM. xD Pair that with a flame body pokemon and hatching tons of eggs takes no time at all! HECKING PLEASE TAKE A SHINY POPPLIO, NO ONE SEEMS TO WANT THEM, UGH. You can even have TWO if you want so you can share one with a friend!! There are a few with nicknames I can't change anymore, with names like Prince and Phantom (because my thought process was opera, primarina is like an opera singer, phantom of the opera its a boy???? does that make any sense lmao) but I think I have one or two I can name whatever you want. Just let me know. xD The natures and stats are all over the place though, sorry. OTL I can see what the options are if you want something specific? I think dynamaxing just makes them bigger, but gigantimaxing gives them a fancy new look? (Like... gigantic? xD don't worry, I think you used that work right lol. Because I went ballistic and hatched over a thousand eggs trying to get my shiny female popplio. I am pleased to report than from 1000 eggs, I got 8 shinies, and 2 of them were female. xD One of them even has the hidden ability, Liquid Voice! I use PokeBank and the hidden ability starters were released right in the middle of my egg-pocalypse so I switched out the male I was breeding with and kept going LOL. The stats aren't great but I'm not a competitive battler so that is the least of my concerns. xD They are both Primarinas now, one is called Nagisa and one is called Kizuna. I know I gave away most of the other shinies, but I might still have one lying around somewhere if you would like one too??? I liked mega-evolution okay, it was definitely cool trying to collect all of the stones in Kalos, but I'm still kinda eh about it. I think I won't really miss it if it stops being a thing we get to use in gen 8, even though it would be really cool to see if we could combine mega-evolution with dynamaxing LOL. I've been into Pokemon Go for a while now. Not obsessed with it, but it is still fun to get out of the house once in a while and catch something. xD I'm mostly into it for the shiny collecting. I don't like the battle system it uses either. Actually battling in general is... my least favorite thing about Pokemon lol.
