Sorry for the super late reply, I'm really spotty atm as I'm very behind at uni (I had some health issues which lost me a couple of weeks doing assignments and stuff). <3
I'll let you know! I've put it down in my notepad widget so I don't forget to use the butterflies. :D Some things just inflate hugely because not enough people buy them at the time. It's all relative here. : P
Hmm. The 'here' button doesn't change your cursor or anything when you hover over or click it, but it should still work! Maybe try clicking it multiple times and then clicking save if you still haven't got it to work? A lot of people forget to hit save, so that's usually the issue.
I'm on the east coast of the United States. c: I think I'm six hours behind you... ish.
Both systems have their benefits and their faults. If I want an FPS, I'll go Microsoft; if I want good strategy games, I'll go Sony. It's all in the money, my friend, but if either knew what was best for them, they'd continue to make the old gen consoles or at least servicing them so they keep running.
Three of my nearest and dearest friends are from the Assassin's Creed fandom, several more have come to me through Dragon Age. I absolutely love it.
OH NO. No no no no, you can only hit Solas if you get like super low approval and go the Templar route. I don't like Solas but I like him for a lot of his remarks and his sass.
Tolkien was closer to OCD with his books, lmao.
(Omg, you did just do an evil cackle and then cough, lmfao.) I absolutely love introducing new fans to things and guiding them in how to ignore the people who incite stupidity in fandoms.
No, I have not heard of a Legacy of Kain series.
Sorry, it was close to midnight here when I got this. XD
Nah, I really try not to be that kind of fan. I've seen what it does and it's like, "Must you??" Especially the Playstation vs Xbox thing, uhg. I have both consoles, I love them both but most of my friends have Playstations and I could only get one next gen console at that point so I got a PS4. I'm waiting for if/when Xbox Ones are made backwards compatible and for the price to come down a bit more. Also, one of my best friends I made through a fandom was a person in Assassin's Creed who wrote a Templar; I wrote an Assassin at that point... and talking to them was as normal as breathing.
You hardly have to chose mages for my sake. XD It's my personal preference, you might find the Templar route fun. Idk. You get to punch Solas if you go Templars and you get this adorable character named Barriss following you around. (If you've made it to Val Rouyeax, you've met him. He's the one Templar who asks if they're doing the right thing.)
Purple prose, summed up, is basically detail for the sake of detail and most of which is needless. I've seen books that describe which way the wind's blowing, describing the speed, windchill, and sounds carried on it, the smells, and so on. It just weighs down a story most times.
I know, right? I remember when the official cosplayer - as he's called - was cosplaying Connor and the fans went ballistic because he's white, was using makeup that darkened his skintone by maybe two shades, and his wife joined in and she's mixed heritage. The fans drove his wife out of cosplaying for a while and she'd just had a baby girl. You honestly can't win with the whole "character is a slightly different shade" right now. One way you're racist, the other way you're racist, it's like you can't just have a darker skinned character. I'm at the point where I literally just erased part of this post because I wrote something that would have been construed as extremely inflammatory on Tumblr in the AC fandom. coughs
Back on topic: I like discussing things like this, especially about Assassin's Creed or Dragon Age. I really don't want to be a fan you have to tiptoe around. Everyone's going to have different opinions on things. I like being the one that's like, "Hey, you're new to this? LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO THE LORE!"
Don't get me wrong - I love 90's games, lmao. That was my childhood. My biggest problem was going for the right trigger (Inquisition's attack) on both DA2 and DAO. Oh, and jumping though I do that far too often in Inquisition because I'm trying to open a door or something. Cue me swearing at my mages for hopping around too much.
