We did 'ave a wee papa-daughter trip t' th' rift, but as mighty as she be, the wee lass couldnae help but enjoy th' rift mermaids. That's prolly me fault bringin' 'er back all those mermaid plushies o'er th' years. We all got a wee softness in us somewhere! Apart from Dirty Matty. He be a real rat.

Anyhaps, th' crew are back fer our yearly trade, this time we're anchorin' 'til th' end o' th' month, so nigh 11 days! We 'ave a fresh bounty plundered from far 'n nigh ready t' tempt ye. Carl be prolly still lazin' around 'n piratin' from us pirates, jus' don't give 'im any caffeine, if he's goin' t' hand out our booty in his quests we'd at least prefer he did it slow, like.

Translation: Afternoon, friends! we'd really like to apologize for us being a day late with our little floating establishment, we do appreciate your patience! My daughter, Brunhilde, had an excellent first time out on the ship, I'm so proud of her! She's really something. We even went on a little father-daughter excursion to Atebus to visit the rift we'd heard so much about, and dear Brunhilde particularly enjoyed the rift mermaids! She always loved the mermaid plushies I brought her growing up. I suppose even the most daring of pirates have a soft spot!

Anyway, the crew are back for our yearly trade, this time we're anchoring until the end of the month, so nearer 11 days! We have a delightful new selection of goods collected completely legally from all over the world and ready for your perusal! Carl is again being helpful and giving out our items in his quests, we just ask that you refrain from giving him any caffeine as we're concerned for the poor man's health. We do like it when he gets his rest.

Hello, dear subetans! I do hope you all are enjoying the festivities. I know some of you have been, erm, less than pleased about the delay in those old Luminaire items I promised you earlier, but let me reassure you that there is plenty of time for you to collect all the old bric-a-brac your heart desires. It's just that the other day I had the strangest feeling and then I remembered--well, you'll just have to see for yourselves. I certainly can't show you myself, ha. Just know I heartily recommend the moon for a midnight party, hmm? You never know just what might show up, especially with that rift around...

Look at me rambling on when all you really want to do is go and eat cake, perhaps with a bit of that delicious frosting monster as a side. Go to and enjoy the fun!

HAPPY 15TH ANNIVERSARY! We’ve all been through a lot together, whether you’ve been here since the very start or just started this year. We on staff can not express how much we appreciate every single one of you. For a lot of us on staff, and even some users, Subeta has been a big part of our lives and we hope it continues to be.

Keep an eye on the news throughout the day, we’ve got a few things planned for y’all.

To start off the celebration, various quest givers are randomly giving out different old holiday items. Carl is giving out old Keel Hauliday items, Cinthia is giving out old trick or treat items, while Mori and Nori are giving out old Survival restockables. Missing Spring? Alexander has you covered with old Vesnali restockables. Pete has brought back delicious old Fireside items. Unsurprisingly, Quentin is giving out Morostide restockables!

There was an issue with the Wizard where he wouldn't give out Luminaire goods. We're working on this but it might come down to another NPC giving out the themed items. There will be a news post when the items start to go out though!
