Hello, I'm Titania McGee with the Channel 5 News Team: your BEST source for Subetan news stories! Tension is running high at EPICon this year, with the focus of the week being the unusual challenge between video gamer Nico and tabletop advocate Manwar! EPICon has split itself dramatically between the two teams, and tempers are hot.
In the spirit of the competition, game developers Magicians of the Mesa (brought to wild popularity with their card game Alchemy: the Gathering) and Vega Corporation (known for the classic Turbo the Priggle) have rushed to set up the new games they brought to demo for the con! Unexpectedly, Manwar and Nico have commandeered the games of their respective flavor, and aren't allowing members of the opposing team to play! It seems, however, that Magicians of the Mesa and Vega are encouraging this competition to the limit, making no move to stop them!
The two new games are a card game version of popular tabletop RPG Mazes and Mahars, and a retro 8-bit defense game called Omen Raiders. Rumor has it that the heads of their respective sides will be doling out points for their team for doing well at the games, and the queues are getting deep! They look awfully fun, so I'd suggest interested con-goers get in line now!

Seriously, I've played a game like that somewhere and I am completely in love.
Only thing I have to complain about is how long it took me to play (and I won, yay!) and I only got 2 points...meh.

Was just wanting to say the point ratio is kind of ridiculous, it makes sense to be lower than RSing, but it takes about 10 minutes per game, and a good RSer can make ALOT more than 6 points per half hour =/ It's still not fair to those of us who suck at RSing.

I've having a lot of inconsistency in the points awarded during Omen Raiders. I've tried to watch and see what gives me points and what kills my score, and there's no reliability. Sometimes I get points for killing monsters and other times I don't. For a while I was losing points whenever I lost a life (This seems to have been fixed, though). I've gained 1k points by saving Amy and having her cross the screen successfully, then other times I gained nothing. I lost about 2k-3k points when Merana caught up to Amy before I could shoot her. (This was NOT FAIR. It takes forever to make that amount of points, especially when I don't get points when I should.)
Has anyone else reported problems with the scoring?
