So what if it's based on a controversial theme? o_0 I mean, really, there are tons and tons of works of literature out there that deal with crude and touchy subjects that most wouldn't dare to bother in with twenty-foot pole, and what makes those works successful is that they deal with these subjects tastefully. I saw nothing tasteless about this pet at all. And then when a pet named Tampon on Fire or Sex on Bench comes along it's all LOLLOLLOLLOL for a lot people anyway...

Solely? Are you kidding me? Yes, European imperialism in this period exploited a lot of "less civilized" cultures in this period, but that was an effect of their power, not the basis for it, or for the give-or-take century of peace in Great Britain. The basis was their naval dominance (ie, being complete badasses), leading to their control of key naval trade routes, leading to their status as an economic powerhouse.

Um, I'm aware I'm not going to get a lot of support for this, but I definitely have some issues with featuring a pet based on glorifying an era that was based solely on white supremacy, appropriation, and the suppression of cultures.
