To everyone saying they are upset there pets left the nomination.

Its happened to practickly everyone. The did that since since the time the pet has been nominated, the page may have changed, owner may have changed, The story may have changed.

You may have an awesome page a couple months back.but how can anyone tell without rechecking if you hadn't erased the page, Traded the pet, Changed the story, Sold the treasures, Renamed the pet ( that can sometimes throw off the win as well id think if the name doesn't fit the pet in staffs eyes anymore) Thrir are way to many changes that could have happened in those said 'months' since they were nominated.

its to prevent another blank transfered pet from winning again.

the ones still in the win que are probably ones the staff rechecked or checked in the past few days so there wasn't to much time in between now and when it was checked. That's just m thought on it tho possibly.

Okay, I'm very confused so if the pet was slated to win it stays or was everything cleared? I only have one pet up for nomination and it still says 'nominated' by their name/under it on my settings.

Thanks for fixing! Ahaha I really don't wanna echo everyone else but lmao I'm glad that my secret favourite pet out of everyone else stayed nominated, but then I had the most unlikely pet (he was the newest so he had the newest nomination) staying nominated while everyone else cleared and I know everyone else has been in the win queue since they got nominated months ago.

Still, I'm sure they'll get renominated so it's not a huge deal. Thanks for trying to fix the glitches in the spotlight!

Two of my pets were nominated and made it into the queue and have been sitting there for ages but now they're dumped. I thought that when they were first nominated, they were cleared by staff and were found to be eligible so shouldn't they still be in the win queue?

I'd love to know how many are still in the queue... and why some pets were dumped while others were not. Does it mean that my two pet's (Jazzilla and Chantico) pages still need work to be considered now? I put a lot of work into their design, overlay, stories and treasures so I'm not sure what else they need.

:/ I'm quite annoyed by this. My pet Twilight has been nominated almost since the pet spotlight began, and now that nomination has just been thrown away? Gahh :c

But on the bright side, this should hopefully sort any mishaps that have gone on in the past

I like that the default is now 'no' instead of yes, but it's a bit crude to discard everyone's nominations! You might want to make a 'remove profile' button that asks if you want to stay nominated or something, to avoid blank winners (or give winners an extra look the day before) if this is really such a big deal.

I'm going to join the "I'm confused" crowd. Out of my seven pets, only one right now has nominations set to off. If none had been nominated or were in the win queue, they should have all been defaulted back to off, right? Or am I just misunderstanding something. I'm going to manually change the rest to off now, because I don't really have much by way of extras on any of my pets.

Thanks so much for this! (It was unfair anyways how pets who won the spotlight were no longer eligible. I agree with others, this should take place more often and the selection should subject more nominations to stricter vetting. I.e., I suggest that the profile next in line for nomination should be checked at least the day beforehand, and if the profile disappears and leaves a blank page, it should be reported and the award should be revoked.)

Personally, to me, it seemed very unfair to others who worked hard and long on their original pets' overlays and profiles that other users' pets who won were apparently "not important enough" or "just extra", and thus "traded" or "given" to another owner.

Worse yet, in some instances, other users were "keeping" said pets for other users who apparently, on a whim, decided that they wanted extra pet slots or a different pet but still wanted to "keep" their first nominated pet - and, I'm sorry if others disagree, but to me, but that's cheating. I suggest any pet that gets "traded" or a new owner should be automatically disqualified from the Pet Spotlight - that would solve a good part of the problem.

My advice? Only nominate for the Pet Spotlight if said pet really, truly deserves it, otherwise more problems - concerning fairness, mostly - will arise. That's all I've got to say.

Well, I am glad something was done- but really does suck that now my pets all have to get renominated. Another issue is that I tried to nominate a pet for someone and it says they had been nominated in the past 7 days- I am guessing that needs to be fixed as well.

Yeah, a few of my pets had been in the queue since the pet spotlight started without pause and are now removed. That's... saying something, lol.

A pet of mine who was nominated and is in the win queue, doesn't have 'this pet has already been nominated!' on his profile anymore. Is he still in?

I.. don't understand. Rosemarie was removed, yet she 'won' a while back on that glitch, and to my understanding she was supposed to actually win at some point..

I love that this is now set to a default 'no.' Thank you SO much for that. But I am confused that a pet of mine who was nominated without pause for MONTHS got taken off. It doesn't really matter as she was already renominated, but I'm just confused as it doesn't seem to be clear-cut who was disabled and who wasn't.

Same thing. I hadsome very completed pets that where nominated since MONTHS and now they are out :/

Personally I think this needs to be done every few weeks. Like someone just said, their pet has been queued for THREE MONTHS. A lot can happen in three months, especially if you're someone who wands over your pets or swap your pets like most people change their clothes.

I also approve of the default being set to NO and it having to be manually changed. One step in a positive direction.

If it says nominated when you go to look it means its already been checked by staff and is in the win queue. If it's blank and was nominated before it means that staff hadn't looked over it yet and now it needs to be put on 'yes' so that people can re-nominate. ... ... i think

Totally disappointed. I've had my pet in the win queue for a couple of months now, and I don't understand why she was booted out with this reset.

How is this supposed to help anything?

wow ya just can't please some people..I believe this means the entire list of pets that was in the queue has been dumped, meaning all pets that are 'ready' in your eyes will need to be re-nominated. so any pets you think are ready you should go to that page and select yes.

This is an excellent idea. I'm glad that making them unable to be nominated is now the default - then people can manually add their eligibility when they ARE ready. Makes a lot more sense. 8D

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but when the spotlight first came out I remember seeing somewhere that the queue was supposed to be reset every two weeks anyhow? I might be wrong though.
