I'm very glad some of these items have been un-retired. Especially the cupcakes. Now I can collect some of them for Chokoreto's treasure.

Tash: Holiday shop items have been retiring/unretiring for a long time. Other retired items such as minions, clothing, Tique items, MCT, etc are not unretired regularly. But always expect seasonal items to come back when the season comes around

Tash, the point of holding onto items, is to sell them at the proper moment.

I sold my Masquerade mask collection over the winter, way before Masquerade, and as some of them were rereleased (Some were not), I made more money then, than I would have made money if I sold them straight before, or during Masquerade.

This is what being a smart investor is about.

It's not like Neopets, where you're sure something being retired inflates. On Subeta, you have to be smarter.

Oh, and Amber, I love you. I begged for these cupcakes, and I'm glad they are rereleased. I'm pretty sure...they haven't been rereleased last year, and I was sad.

Tash: It's the same as IRL, really (: You can't get cute easter stuff in the stores in december, but they will be back in store the year after with a combination of old and new items.

Amber- I guess I mean that when the concept of retiring was originally introduced, it was intended as a permanent measure. I'm glad not everything has been brought back :].

I'm not sure what you mean by retiring use to be permanent, Tash. Holiday items have always come back one way or another, like these Vesnali items. (Just a note, not everything was unretired anyways. )

:/

Not a complaint, but a query - how often are items like this going to be unretired? Retiring used to be permanent, not a temporary state of affairs. Unretiring items, while it benefits users who didn't get the items at the time, negatively affects older users who've stored items like this over a longterm period while waiting patiently for their values to grow. As one of the latter group I know I'm biased, and I accept that unretiring previously unavailable items is to the benefit of new users, but it would be nice to know whether hoarding is actually going to be worth it for much longer.
