I think the Jollin is adorable :] As for its pose.. I find nothing wrong with it. In my opinion, I believe a common color shouldn't have to have an outstanding pose. That's what the other colors are fore (i.e. bloodred, spectrum, ect).
Now as for the way it's drawn, I don't mind that either. It's MUCH better then the typical LARGE eyes, ALWAYS happy and VERY fluffy pets that a pet site always has.
The only thing I can agree on is that there are a lot of "dog-like" pets: Montre, Kumos, Ruffie, Telenine, Keeto and now the Jollin. That is six (6) dog/fox/wolf-like species. Which makes it understandable why people would like to see something different.
I can list some great animals that should be done. AND PLEASE NO WINGS. WINGS ARE OVER DONE

I do like the concept of this pet, it looks nice..but it was to similar to the real life animal and I'd think it would be better if they had done something more then just add spots to make it less like the animal. If something had been added.. Tail splits half way to two tails (Cliche I know but it's an example.) then I'd love to see that because it'd be more original to subeta.
The art looks a tad bit more realistic for subeta, not bad just different from the normal style..and the pose looks just...frozen and blocked off.

I also get that people shouldn't be ragging on those who express their negative opinions, but seriously. They're not going to delete it just because someone says they should. It's well-drawn, and it does have personality. I feel that it fits in really well with the rest of the pets. Kudos to the artist for an amazing job well done!
For subeta, it IS a smart move BECAUSE foxes are popular. Subeta caters to the masses as well as to the minority, which is what helps it to be such a great site.
Btw- the hyena has been done IN A WAY by neopets in the form of a mutant gelert. (Obvious difference in ears, but still close to a hyena.)

As much as Im a fan of fennec foxes (dream pet), these look rather odd compared to all the other pets and those spots just don't look nice on it. The eyes are too small. Have you ever seen a fennec fox? Their eyes and ears are huge. The pose just doesn't have any life to it and the glacier looks so much like the basic colored ones that I honestly think it was a waste, there were so many different poses you could have chosen.
I'm not saying that it's not cute or is bad art, it could just do with some much needed updates...already.
And I do agree with Luc and some of the others. Although foxes and wolves/etc. aren't bad and the majority goes gaga over them, It would be amazing to find some new animal based species like Hiena , Platapuss, pigs^^, and such. Theres millions/billions of different animals species out there, get creative with them!

That lame neopets does /NOT/ have a fox pet. Just a dog and a wolf. (a.k.a. Gelert and Lupe) But they DO have a Red Panda petpet called a Dandan. :/
Personally, I like the Jollin. (Excluding those spots, which make it look way too much like the Celinox.) But besides that, it's easily my favorite pet.

Like someone forgot to connect the large ears to the skull, so they drew some sort of oddly-shaped, furred skull attachment between those huge ears. xD Or the eyes are too low. One of those.

um, this is to all the people that are telling the others to "stop whining": in case you haven't clearly read most people's posts, they say that the jollin is a nice pet but some other colors for other pets would be nice, too. we're not saying this one is hideous and how dare subeta not listen to ALL our demands, geeze. the jollin is mad freaking cute, but i stand for myself and a lot of others that they can work on the other pets and release some less cute pets. yes, each artist is assigned their own pets/species/whatever, but hopefully our comments are read by someone who might edge on these artists to do their jobs or even just inspire the artists to work on something new. it's understandable that subeta can't possibly reach out to all of our wants, but why not post what we think? this is after all "the comment-area." JUST SAYING!
I do agree that this pet is somewhat lacking in the creativity department. However, it is well-drawn, and very cute. Their eyes also seem a little low on the head for me, but that's more personal preference than anything, I think.
It's cool for people to say "stfu" to people that just bitch about pets, for example just saying "It's ugly" or "I hate it", but the people saying negative things about this have been saying honestly valid things. I just don't feel like this pet was a necessary addition. Personally, I think it would've worked much better as a minion. Or it could've even be worked into an experiment pet. Just with my personal opinion, it really doesn't fit with the style of Subeta, to me it's just... a fennec fox with snow leopard spots. The other pets on this site are stylized at least in some way, IE the kumos' eyes, the montre's wings, you know, things that make the pet something else besides "animal + other animal = NEW PET!"
I think the Jollin is a very beautiful piece of art, it's a very nice creature, but just seeing one on someone's profile, I can say that it looks out of place next to the other pets. It doesn't seem to have as much personality as the others. Saying you don't like a pet isn't BAWWing, I really haven't seen anyone here being obnoxious besides the people going OMG FENNEC SO KAWAII DESU MY FAVORITE ANIMAL EVAR XD
I think Lucian made very good points with things like variety. Honestly I WOULD prefer to see more outlandish sorts of pets, like with hyenas, instead of more foxes. I don't think you can go to a single pet site and not see a fox pet. But how many things like hyenas or red pandas have you seen?
I'm just throwing my 2 cents out there. I hate when people bitch about new pets/revamps as much as the next person, but I hate it even more when people tell those that are expressing their opinions calmly to shut up and stop bitching. :|

It doesn't surprise me that everybody feels the need to gang up on one person who doesn't like the pet. Expressing negative feedback (even in a non-hurtful way) has always been met with a total assault of "omg stfu!!!!"s from other users on this site.

Hm, Yeah. LOLO my rage has settles and I admit to being an irrational dick, but I still stand by my points. I'm not saying the way-out-there species would have to be something unappealing.. Like with what you said about the platypus would be a good one. I mean, something that breaks the mold a bit of all the canines and cats, but doesn't necessarily look ugly. I guess I'm just personally tired of seeing dogs and foxes everywhere, even if it is appealing to a lot of people, doesn't it kind of get redundant? But I dunno, isn't it kind of like the snow leopard mix was already used in the celinox? Or I'm not sure what it's actually supposed to be a mix of animal-wise. I KNOW A LYNX but.. that's about it. (Or that could be the only thing it's based off of lolo I'm tired)
Uh... Yeah, because the Celinox and Jollie look SO similar. OMG THEY HAVE SPOTS JUST LIKE THE CELINOX WHAT A RIP. Cause really, that's about the only similarity other than they're both furry. Get over it, they both look very different anatomically. The celinox has a more muscular-let-sleek build, smaller ears, slightly rounder snout. You know, like a CAT (which it is based off of). The jollie has huge ears, much larger tail, very slight and sleek figure, much smaller legs; kinda like a FOX really (since, once again, that's what it's based off of). There's also the GIANT CRYSTALS JUTTING OUT OF THE CELINOX'S BACK. So very different pets, I would have never thought to compare the two because I personally think they're THAT different.
While I do agree that I'd like to see more "original" pets, you have to understand the target demographic here. The majority of the users WANT cute pets, and we've kinda exhausted most original species of cute. And the species the artists COULD use would probably be very unpopular, and it just wouldn't be intelligent. So as long as the majority of users like adorable pets (which will be forever), expect to see just that: traditionally cute pets. Though I wouldn't argue against a platypus pet, winkwink.
But god forbid that it gets more creative than just a fennec with snow leopard markings and OHHH A BIGGER TAIL!
Its a good idea. Vast majority of fandoms favor foxes, and dogs. I think its alright to reach out to yours fans in this way, after all you are a pet site and can create almost anything you want to appeal to your fans. More than one pet can have spots you know, be fluffy and dog like. There are plenty of pets with personality, its ok to have a more realistic, or some that are themed a popular species.

and I'm moreso trying to say the celinox looks a lot like the jollin does, even by just the pattern. The ears, tail.. yeah. Why make another pet that looks like something already done? Just to have one that looks like a fennec? Where has the creativity gone? Like, I understand not all pets here are very "creative" but this is just... this is the sort of stuff those SPARKLOLDOGS~~ do. With this, don't we honestly have enough canine-like pets? Why not branch out a bit into way out there species? The only thing that's really different is you gave the fennec a bigger tail. I mean, if you're going to mix these animals, the least you can do is make it have tidbits of anatomy from each animal.
Though I guess saying this is all in vain, since not many will I agree with me anyway because OMG FENNEC FOX IT'S SO CUTE OMIGOSH~~
