your friends can view other peoples comments though? If you want something to be truly private thats what mail is for.

How is this crossing the line? Of course you can select what you don't want to share with your friends, I think it would be kind of stupid to force you to share information with others that you don't want to. But really, if you're that determined to hide stuff from your "friends", I'm not sure if calling them friends is right.

Just go to your Friend Feed and click on "Privacy Options".

ok i get it now! i hate it! can you turn a privacy thing on or something? i seriously do not want people to be able to read at i say to my other friends. privacy is important and this is crossing the line!

Filtering both what you want shown to your friends AND what you want to see your friends do is a great idea. Keeps it clutter-free and also keeps your friends from being stalker-ish. I'm still not sure about it in general, but at least I can turn certain things on or off.

At first I thought it had reset my privacy options, but I then realized that this feature was to filter what YOU see of THEIR feeds, and that the first option was to filter what THEY see of YOUR feeds.

Caught me up for a second. Good idea, though. This way, if your friends do want to share their feeds, but you don't want to see them, it's not forced on you.

The absolute last thing I'd want on this site is WallOfText(TM) slamming me every five seconds.

~~shrug~~ Make of it what you will, I guess. I'm neutral on this feature.

Thought you should know the save button says "Change Privacy Options" on the filter page. =) Should probably read "Change Filter Options" or something like that. ^^; But thanks! I was actually wishing for something like this yesterday.

I wasn't too bothered by seeing comments, forum replies, etc. but this is great feature none the less... People with a LOT more friends than me will find this a LOT more useful, of course.
