Omfg, are people really freaking out about the Wyllop? I honestly didn't notice a different between this and the old one. :| Aside from the tail being moved, and like...making sense.

Frankly, I thought the older Wyllop was a tad too dark/cluttered and there was no real resting place for the eyes when looking at it. The head was oversized in comparison to the body, too. Don't get me wrong, I did like it and I think the artist did a fine job, but the new one fixes the few issues there were. I'm actually inclined to get a Hydrus Wyllop now. Kudos to whoever updated it ^^
In any case, if you were fond of the old one you can always use an overlay for your profile and your pet's profile. It's not side-wide, but you do have some control (=

The swampie is great but the wyllop.. It looks like they took something untamed, and tried to tame it. Making everything less sharp and dull :/ It didn't need a revamp.

The wyllop is still the same dump's. Only it has a better outfit, now an fits the rest of Subeta's pets better...

The Swampie is definitely an improvement over the previous one but as far as hydrus pets go, it's very bland looking, the color could have been much more taken adventage of, especially for an already aquatic pet
Please draw a picture for my Hydrus Velosotor before redrawing species which already have pictures. I've only been waiting 3 years for this to happen.
Crap, anything but the Wyllop! I loved the old one. One of my favorite hydrus pets if not favorite pet through out all of Subeta. But to be fully honest I absolutely HATE this revamp. I might just go change DeathTrap now. 
The wyllop is a major letdown. The old art was prettier and less rushed looking Sorry, but i say it fails. The Swampie on the other hand, is pure awsomeness compared to the old version.
The Swampy is nice. The Wyllop? Not so much.

I think the re ramps are lovely, the swampy has it's new bubble pattern on and the wyllop no longer has it's tail oddly under him. Not to mention up dated shading and coloring.
I think it's great that we actually have a site who's artists are so talented and kine to doing things right. You know, most pet sites wouldn't even dream about doing a single image over again. :/

H'okay, so here is my opinion:
I am not a huge, huge, ballistic fan for Hydrus HOWEVER I have my favorites. I love the Swampie revamp, I have to get props to the artist there. I, however, think the Wyllop was softened a little too much? The older one was very colorful and the contrast was brilliant! But I just don't see that with the new one.
Although, the artist(s) did a great job! I congratulate you on your amazing art skill.
Swampie looks a lot better, a little plain, but /definitely/ better. No comment on the Wyllop tho. =[
I'm probably the only person who likes the old swampie better than the new one. ^_____^;
I'm gonna have to agree with Cylum. 
Check out the seaweeds/greens on the ear on Vampire's version (she did the old one I believe) and on this one... there's a loss of detail. Same goes for the shading.
The Swampie is really nice. I really like the texture of the coral. But this new Wyllop really feels like a step backwards....like it was an UNvamp...:/ Whered all the detail go?
Hmm the old wyllop looks more like a revamp than the new one. I like the slightly darker brown of the new one but I like the detail of the old one better - mostly don't like the new wyllop's mouth.
The new swampie revamp is great though!
Okay now I know the rat didn't need a make over so why did you give it one? DX It was fine! As for the swampie... ehhh. It doesn't look right without it's coral eye brows starting at the eye... and it could use some more black spikes. Most of these revamps could use more spikes. DX

I doubt they will. I'm pretty sure it was one of, if not THE, most recent species to be made Hydrus before the Omen Islands event. In other words, the hydrus Kumos hasn't really been around as long as the others before the revamps happened. I wouldn't say it's new, but still.
I'm not sure why hydrus pets are being released when the majority of the site can't access the island still?

Same here. Okay... I didn't join the site BECAUSE of the Hydrus Wyllop. But I HAD one... since yesterday. I change him to Common Anyu. And I'm SO glad I did it BEFORE the revamp happened...
