Hello, everyone. It has been quite a while, hasn't it?

Regrettably, our Nuclear Tagging program has fallen by the wayside due to insufficient funding, rendering our tags obsolete. To avoid any possible medical complications in the far future, we have removed the ID tags from your nuclear pets. Rest assured that they are in good health and this was only a precaution.

On the bright side, you may have noticed that the Kumos, Malticorn and Irion are now available in Nuclear as well.

aw ): I thought the tags made them super unique, like...some sort of story behind them or something OR SOMETHING i can't explain it well ahah. now they are just green and black

BUT the malticorn nuclear is quite adorable c: i like the white fluff

But in the long run it may be for a valuable reason eh?

I do hope they make a poll for this. Also if the reason for taking the tags away was to help out the artists, it seems like a lot more work to have to go back and redo all the pets w/o a tag.

Clearly you have missed some.

That was rather snarky/uncalled for.

Post -do- get bumped off the page, and it wouldn't have killed you to list one or two reasons instead of making the entirely unhelpful "NO YOU'RE WRONG/STUPID" type comment you made.

Yes, the OP was being crass and exaggerating. That doesn't mean you have to respond in turn. It's a cliche, but two wrongs really don't make a right.

Besides, you're staff, and you represent the site, whether you like it or not. I don't expect the staff to be insanely nice and cheery all the time (you're real people, and I like that you act like real people), but I don't think common courtesy and a willingness to be helpful is too much to ask for.

The tags were neat and spiffy, but if its easier on the artists to leave them out, then so be it. They can focus more on other things than dwell on finding a unique number for every nuclear pet (if they were unique). My Bekkam is nuclear, and even without the tag he still looks... nuclear. I'm not complaining, although the tags were a cute detail. Whatever benefits the artists that work hard for us. ^^

The new kumos is to die for, and the malticorn is a real looker.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

i think the tagging was awesome/creative and wish you would have made a poll before just taking it away...alot of people liked the tags obviously by the numerous postings here, you can surely tell???

Jag, maybe /I/ missed something, but so far the only explanation has been "people didn't notice them and you couldn't read them" which is seeming to be proved wrong xD;;;

What, I really liked the numbers! That's partially why I chose to paint one of my pets Nuclear!

Make a poll. I bet a good chunk of people don't like this change.

A poll would be nice. I don't think removing the tags is a very supported move. I'm still bent about it.

I suggest the staff create a poll, and let US decide whether or not the tags should exsist. I liked them, and actually think the nuclear pets look more plain without them. Being hard to read, or the same on a few pets, shouldn't metter in the slightest.

Damn. I really liked the tags, too.

They were pretty... Maybe have them on the pets where they can be made a bit more noticeable, and then with smaller pets... Have them on the other side, or inside the leg or something? I dunno. Makes sense to me. =B

But the fact that people are to lazy to read down the page is kind of bugging me. If they want an explanation that badly all they need to do is read down a bit.

Aww, I liked the number tags, it was one of the reasons I wanted to get a nuclear pet.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

They were a cool touch. Made up for the fact they're still in the common pose. I also think the "new" Feli (and I remember squeeing over the old version a year ago) doesn't look as good. :/ Looks less like a cat. Oh well.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Arbor - I was saying more along the lines of it not being as original anymore. No other pet color had little numbers on it, and it did reference to the pet's laboratory origins. And yes, some get extra markings, but from looking through, the basic marking pattern never changes. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but with the addition of the nuclear sign and the tag, it made it a little more original.

shrug I guess I just don't think it should have been removed based on the assumption that no one noticed the tags.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Irian
User Avatar

Huh, I thought that the number was the same for every different species colored nuclear... Bah. It was a nice detail, reminding of the 'laboratory' origin of those pets. I liked it.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Arbor
User Avatar

Nalothe, they have extra markings, /bubbly/ markins, some have splatters or extra stripes, etc.

How is that not different than Twilight? It's a common pet with it's own pattern, numbers or not.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Coriander
User Avatar

I thought they were a nice detail - and honestly, the fact that people didn't notice duplicate numbers doesn't mean people didn't notice the tags themselves. I have a reborn devonti, that doesn't mean I examine the intricate details of the other reborn pets. Even if I had a nuclear pet I probably wouldn't memorize the number in order to compare it to all the rest of them when I looked at them. And as for Nuclear not having original poses - I think it's a lovely way to spice up the common pose a little, and they don't need their own poses; sort of like how bloodred and darkmatter used to be way back when.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Saga - Obviously, though, a lot of people did notice them. I would assume no one was looking at every nuclear pet to see if they had the same sequence number or not, so perhaps that was why no one mentioned duplicate numbers.

Taking the tags away just makes the nuclear color seem as unexciting as Twilight or Cream. Sure, it's a nice color combination, but there's nothing to make it special anymore. =

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I thought the number tags were a cool touch, its a shame they are gone now Also I hope they come out with a nuclear montre soon. And am I the only one who can't see the nuclear Irion?

thank you, Quadricat. and even if no one DID notice them (as the posts in this topic obviously prove false), and there WERE duplicates, why didn't you just REVAMP them with bigger numbers and unique sequences? surely making the tags more obvious would be just as easy as removing them.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by BladeRunner

Going through alllll the comments on this post, very VERY few are glad to see them gone. The amount of people who are MISSING them is at least three times bigger than the amount of people who didn't even know they were there.

I didn't personally care if I couldn't read the numbers, the fact was they were tagged and experiments and it was just ONE more thing that made the nuclear color a little special compared to dawn or twilight. Pretty please, explain! Is it because no one noticed? I think that is a gross assumption, a lot of people noticed here! Because there were duplicates? SO what?!!!?!? I wish you had left the tags as an "old nuclear" color instead I am sad to see the numbers gone.

what? that's the most random change. it takes away some of the uniqueness of the Nuclear color. now it just feels like a pretty recolor and not like the pets are actual experiments. I loved the tags, they reminded me of barcodes. just because the staff felt like no one "noticed" them isn't reason enough to do away with them entirely! 8|

There you have it. The codes were hard or impossible to read and a few pets had the same sequences.

If I am correct, nuclear pets are just experiments on.. common pets. It's not like they have been turned into sincere angels with wings.. or vicious nightmarish monsters. Creating new poses would be difficult, especially considering they do not have much of a personality in terms of what they are. PLUS... do you know how hard it is to come up with so many different poses for one pet? Wouldn't it be nice to reserve them for the more expensive pets like, as before, angelic or nightmare?
