Really? I wonder what'll be the next change then. Oh god, the freedom fries memories. I went to a restauraunt, ordered french fries, and got glared at the entire time I was there. ....and the fries didn't even taste that good. XD

If it's that much of a problem having 'french' in the name of a food, why not just call them 'chips' like us British? XD Very funny, I like this items. 8D

The funny thing about the ";Freedom Toast"; is that it looks identical to the French flag, except backwards. (French flag is blue white red.) XD Fun fact: America did the same thing with German food during WW1... example: Sauerkraut, Liberty Cabbage. And hamburgers were Liberty Sandwiches. XD

I released them today because an artist made them for today. You realize quite a few of us are American, and similarly, quite a few of us enjoy laughing at ourselves and how silly our patriotism can become, right?

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I'm not sure if everyone's on good terms or not, but the freedom fries/toast thing was pretty much dropped within a year, as far as I know. It was pretty dumb. Although, the only time I ever seen such a thing, was at one food stand at an amusement park.

O.o; I dunno if I should be amused or upset at these... Sure - when USA did the whole 're-naming' of 'french named foods'... it was a laugh. But why release these today? Is it bad we want to celebrate our holiday? So what if we dye our dogs rediculous colors and re-name food that, honestly, didn't need to be re-named... We're Americans. We can do whatever we want. -smirk.fails-

rofl. Best descriptions. Ever

Are we unpatriotic if we don't eat freedom food ? Because, of course, changing the name will suddenly make the people the food is named for feel completely unworthy and of course decide to join us in whatever our fearless leader decides to do.

Or something.

Hehe I loled the day that french fries were changed to ";freedom fries";. I don't know if it actually happened in most stores, I'm from Australia so I only heard it in the news, but yeah.. I still loled. Anyway I love this site even more for being sarcasitc about it instead of sucking up the whole July 4th thing and making a big patriotic deal about it like some other sites coughmaplestorycough

axcgdfsga Okay, I just LOL'd so hard. XDD You guys are THE BEST.

There was a place around here a few years ago with a sign out front that said ";We have Freedom Fries!"; (no, there was nothing special about them). But their food sucked anyway, so my friends and I just laughed every time we drove by.... because now, on top of the nasty food, they had stupid names for said food. XD
