Head on over to Riverside Valley and pick up your somewhat traditional Mother's Day gift. (Hey, it's better than those half dozen pinch pots you've been stuck with every year since kindergarten! XD Or that questionably alive marigold in the styrofoam cup...)

AristoDragon same with me. Well kinda. =D My family put our hands in the concrete(because we were fixing the side walk) and wrote out names. Now im older and my hand fits my moms old hand. And no one fits mine or my brother's hand print.

My mom got some concrete and had us do our hands AND feet and we put stones and shells in it and wrote our names. So now somewhere in the tangles of our backyard there are five broken-up concrete slabs with hand and footprints, from a five year old me and my three year old little sister, along with one with my cousin's hands and one with my parents and my cat!

As a mom to 2 teens, I have gotten all of those things throughout the years. Instead of trying to save everything, I take photos of the gifts and place them in a special Mother's Day Photo Album. I still have the casted hand prints though.

Thanks for the Gift Subeta. Now I just hope that the Users will be kind enough to let us moms have a stab at grabbing some of the Mother's Day Items from the shops.

I remember making a card for my mum, and the teacher told us to write something creative on it. Example: "you're as good as gold!" I couldn't think of anything creative, so I coloured the card in gold, and wrote "you're as good as gold!" on it. She laughed, and so did everyone else she showed the card to.

Hey, I always did some poor drawing or card to my mom XD My school was public, we couldn't do that many fancy things like pinch pots or Child hand plasters... Instead, we did tulips with popsicle sticks and folded paper, or we took a paper and draw our hands on it outlining them with the pencil (I was the only one who had a right hand to give to mom, all other kids had a left one)... Once, my class had to do a weird thing with a plastic 2 litres soda bottle and toilet paper... XD Oh, the elementary teachers and their creativity!

I have five kids... who all made them kindergarten through ninth grade... I would have had FIFTY of the things! That's just excessive! XD I do have the twelve-year-old's yet. (And, until they moved out, I kept them ALL on display in a glass-shelved lighted china cabinet. But, as they left, it was like... here... take these... they make great pencil or jewelry or change holders! XD)

Aw, you're not alone Metaphora. It reminded me of when we used to make Mother's Day fingerpaint cards and those pinchpots back in school. Anytime I remember those days, I nearly start crying. D8
