really don't know why so many people are worried about this new trivia, though.. all i did was search for it, and about eight million sites all said the same thing.. -_o Well. 8 million is a bit much, but you get the point. jeez.
if half subeta's user population gets it wrong and there is an outcry, it's their own fault. They shouldn't get a do over for not looking hard enough. Haha, and if I get it wrong, i'll eat my hat and just buy the pink dog. No whining for me. x3

For the current Trivia I have found 3 different answers as far as percentage goes.
There will probably be a few unhappy people if they choose the wrong percentage.
This one may have to be a do-over.

I didn't even have to look for the answer to this trivia. On my way to work this morning the guy on the radio was giving out random V-day trivia and this was one of the things mentioned.

When I googled it, I only got one main answer. One site gave a specific number of owners rather than a percentage. I had to go through 4 pages of sites before I came across one that gave a different answer. My first thought on reading the qestion, was "according to who?", but once I googled it, the answer leaped at me. Hopefully, I got it right, but who knows

Some of the pages I see have only polled Americans. Some only polled adults. Some only asked dog owners.

I think it's a mixture of the question being worded too vaguely and a lack of proper research that's makign this so frusterating.

My room mate and I searched separately for the answer, and we each used the answer that showed up most often for us... after we answered we compared notes, and there's a difference of over 50% between our answers, ROFL.

Sorry. I don't normally complain about trivia questions, but this one is really unfair to users. Polls and surveys are totally subjective based on the agency and demographic surveyed. So far I have found multiple results varying by a degree of over 14%. How are users (or staff, for that matter) supposed to know which is the truly correct answer?

And you know what's really amusing about the polls? The VAST difference between the percentages. I wonder what the difference is... why one set of respondents seem to want to spend a ton on thier pets, and other groups don't. Maybe depending on where the poll was taken? From in front of a pet store or in front of a grocery store, or online, or... meh, I'll shut up, I'm probably the only one that finds this interesting

I found multiple results, also, but reading what was said I feel 99% sure about my answer.

And the only reason I'm not 100% is because...well, the pessimist in me always gets some sort of say. XD

Actually, I'm also finding a number of different answers, it all depends on who is running the survey. And how often an answer comes up depends on what keywords you use in your search, even the order of keywords, and this is different for everyone. I just picked one and guessed, but... kinda not a fair question, IMO

I've actually found a handful of sites that provide an answer, and all the sites say something different LMFAO. There really is no nationwide statistic on this at all.

This is a terrible trivia. =/ Sorry. But the results are too inconclusive and varied for it to be a good one. There are going to be a /lot/ of angry people after this trivia is over.

Should have done enough research to realize that there is going to be more than one possible answer, and any trivia with obvious multiple answers = bad trivia.

I apologize for being blunt, but that's just the way I see it.

ooh, this one seems easy at the start but finding it is more difficult..I found a number number, not percentage and now there are about 5 different percentages because they're including everything under the sun though I specified Valentines...XP...this is going to be fun, hehe
