Happy Australia Day!

Celebrating the first colony in Australia, today is Australia Day! (I know, it's halfway through for you aussies!) Australians make up a pretty large portion of Subeta users, and are some of the most interesting (see: ), so enjoy your day!

The Plushie Parlor is stocking these overly adorable plushies (and a few others, including a Kangaroo. Which everyone thinks of when they think of Australia. That's why the Emu and Wombat get the spotlight instead ;))

O.M.G. I rarely bust that one out, but... the lamington is so cute. I /had/ to buy the Bilibi, twas just as cute...
xD I'm going to end up having to buy the other plushies, because they're all so amazing!
Ugh. I was working from when Subeta switched to the new day, so I only just managed to come online (10:11PM WA time) but it was well worth it!

Happy Australia Day

The lamington was delish & I am patiently trying to get my hands on one of those plushies.

Two of the three species of wombat are endangered. They are the northern hairy-nosed wombat, which is critically endangered, and the southern hairy-nosed wombat. thank you for raising their profile.

"I come from a land down under", weelll, i don't actually, i'm from Israel, born in Romania, but i L.O.V.E. Australia and everything about it, i want to move there and have a TAZ for a pet! And a Bilbie, of course! And THAT song is my fav since forever. Happy-happy, joy-joy to y'all!

We had a lamington cake in the shape of Australia with a little flag poking out of every capital city ... looked awesome ... tasted GREAT!!!

It is now a day of celebration by Australians of all things Australian - all the things, people, places, values and traditions that we treasure.
