I've tried this a few times. Worked fine 2 times but after that the page wouldn't load, I even tried on firefox.. Don't know what the problem is..

I don't always recognise the items by name in my inventory and I'm paranoid about giving something to someone that I wanted to keep or just give the wrong item

Pffft, i wont get anything worth writing home about...if i am lucky, i will get some wishlist items, but that is not likely to happen. some that i cant afford, like the Balrog, or the lunar wig...if anything it will be cheap junk..but at least i can fill everyone elses...

Last year I used the wishlist search and stuffed stockings that way 
To answer a question from below: Last year, the stockings opened on Christmas Day and you got an event telling you who had given you what. Until then, you didn't know if you had something in your stocking.
I don't plan on using the gift center anymore All the gifts I plan on giving are going into stockings. Makes it more fun that way and pressies can't be opened until Christmas Day - as it should be Plus - huge savings on wrapping paper.
This sounds like a lot of fun! :3 It'll be an interesting way to gift random people!

So it looks like the gifts will not be anonymous. I really like this stocking thing because I won't be home for Christmas and I love that my friends can still get gifts from me on that day!
