I dont see why everyone wants the old, yes its cute, but... the anatomy, the thick and choppy lines, the fact it looks like a direct copy of some sort of vaporeon mutation D8;; Seriously, both the revamps kick some serious ass art wise, and the artist did a great job listening to the more sane subetans concerns with the first revamp much love!

Er, sorry about my obnoxiousness yesterday. ^^; I had a bad day.

But I still think it looks too constricted. Try basing it more on something like the spectrum one or the galactic one. They still have awesome shading but it's got the innocent adorable look. This one's too rubbery. Especially it's ears and body. It doesn't look right that the ears are all over the place or that it's incredibly shiny or had a chubby stomach like the kanis.

The Kora is supposed to be cute and slightly catty like but know it's all pudgy and doesn't look as fluffy anymore!

It's too muscular and pudgy with the shadowing and even if it didin't over do it in the revamps or if you even revamp it again, I still prefer how the older original kora looks like.

Also the head looks strange to me and the eyes remind me of bug eyes... Another thing that bothers me is that the ears and the tail aren't as slim.

To me the position of the original Kora is cuter then the revamp and the revamped revamp because it kinda looks like it's floating and all pretty like...

Also the revamps look much different then the other colors for it, won't it look weird?

It really seems like the artists are trying to make it less cartoony and try make it more real looking with the new shading/look, but I don't like most of them...

I'm sorry if the artists tried hard to make it, but I really really want the original Kora back becuase the different shading isn't really changing my opinion.

No! NEVER! is dragged away by people in black suits The kora is supposed to be a cute, sprite like creature. Now it's a fat, shiny...thing with huge ears and sausage feet. T.T And the gem's not shiny.

From both an anatomical and an aesthetic POV, a creature with a body as small and compact as the Kora's just looks awkward with big fat sausage-y tentacles flailing around it. That's probably why so many people favor the slender, elegant, ribbon-like appendages of the original - they flowed with the overall design and gave the Kora its own character. But the revamp just looks forced, like a commissioned fanart of the original with a totally anti-Kora character design in mind.

Sad that the Kora has to change from a cute, innocent, delicate water-sprite-like creature to a musclebound rubber tentacle beast, simply because a single artist chose that route despite what hundreds of users say they prefer.

Oh well... so much for the future Kora I had all designed and ready to adopt...

Although I have already posted critiques, I have noticed a few kore things needing to be tweaked:

This pose of the re revamp seems very, er, strange... The Kora would be knocked over by the weight of either its ears or tails with only one foot on the gorund! The original seems like it's almost flying, it's just not the smae pose. And the original Revamp at least has 2 feet on the ground.
Neither revamp have necks!! =O the original pose seems like the Kora is shrugging as it is cutley posing, therefore the neck is hidden, but these revamps' poses seem to need necks...

-oh, by the way, the back (Kora's left) left foot is better in the revamped revamp =)

The new revamp looks much better than the older one, but I still say it needs a little more neck.
Other than that, the revamp-revamp is very nifty. Good job!

Mmn, the tails will remain 'tentacles' because that's how I draw the kora If you want them back to ribbons, I'll go and revamp the spectrum/hydrus/galactic too. But I'm not going to do that xD I like the tentacles, I think ribbons as ears are a bit strange, they needed more cartillage! And yes, they defy gravity because they are muscles, and the kora can move them any which way it wants to. They don't just hang there

This is a huge improvement, Rah, well done! I would definitely be happy with this version (though I still have a nostalgic affection for the original).

The tails are still ever so slightly sausage-like, but I have no idea what could be done to them, without them ending up looking flat.

But all-in-all it now looks back to its more graceful, floaty self. Thank you for listening to our nit-picking critiscisms.

I like the revamp of the revamp lol, the revamp before that one was an improvement on the original but IMO the shading was sharp and made it look very muscular.

The other revamp (most current) looks better the shading is not as harsh or as defined and doesn't look like it's been to the gym allot :3. They are both really good though and the Artists are clearly talented just that the Kora isn't known for being that buff but still you guys did a good job .

The new revamp is definitely an improvement over the first revamp. I still voted for the original, though- the revamp still looks kind of angry while the original looks innocent and cute, and the revamp has those thick tentacle tails instead of the wispy ones of the original.

I LOVE the revamped revamp, glad the tail is layered right, the shading is a bit less glossy looking, and there is a tiny (but there) indication of fur

The original is cuter. Its more simple and super adorable! I love, but thanks for the revamps anyways, they're awesome to, but I like the pose and posistion of the original... ^^

Much better than the orginal. I don't like Kora but now i see this revamp i want one. xD I think it was the time for this pet for a revamp. The orginal Kora looks very old, and the art is ugly. .-,

The shading is much better, the back leg placement makes more sense, body looks less blob-like, and the expression is improved because of the shading. But I still voted for the original, because the expression still does not have enough personality, and going from ribbon tails to a mass of tentacles still doesn't work for me. :/ I really, really hope that sounded constructive. If not, I apologize - seeing such a drastic change in my favorite pet is kind of traumatic.

Still looks like rubber, thighs and shoulders are still bulbous, chest still protrudes too much, ears and tails still look too heavy and must be defying some major gravity to be flying around as they are... and in general it still lacks the cute, innocent, sprite-like character and spring-in-its-step build of the original. As someone has said, it looks forced - and revamps just for the sake of revamps are not cool. Still voting original.

Still have to vote for the original. I do think the new one is very lovely art, but the original has more character in the ears/tail. Primarily, though, it's the face for me. The original has a slightly sad, slightly hopeful, slightly curious kind of expression to it, that I think is just adorable. It's the shape of the eyes, mainly, I think -- the original has a more rounded top, and not as steep a slope from inner corner to top.

I can can see where users are coming from with the dynamicy of the ears in the original kora vs. the revamps, but really...I think Rah has done a splendid job, she's even revamped the -revamp- for us! It doesn't look exactly like the original, but one thing we tend to forget..Kora's design -has- changed since it was originally created. The facial structure in the revamps mirrors that of, say, the Hydrus Kora for example, much more closely than the Original Kora does. The -first- revamp did have some flaws, especially with the pose, as Kora is meant to be floating and glaceful. This revamp has applied that, and abbided to other requests from our community. Personally, I think it'd be best to let it be..I'm voting for this "re-revamp".

Although the shading was fixed on the latest revamp, the shading on the revamped revamp's eyes is STILL to much and looks very bugged-eyed.
I voted for the original, not re-drawn picture.

Even though the revamped revamp is better than the first revamp, I still went for the original.
The line quality of the original might not be as nice, but i.e. the ears are so much more dynamic...and the overall shape is more appealing.

The right ear (our right) and the tails still mirror each other too much. =( It's a lot less angry looking, so props there, but the tails still look like tentacles. Still like the original best, although the new revamp is much better than the first. ^^

I went for the original too. I like the feathery look of the original. The tentacles of the revamps look like worms to me. And I agree on the eyes - I like the eyes of the original. But I guess you will never please all of the people.....

I would say that the second revamp is better, due to softer shading, but I would still prefer the original one.

The old one was simpler and had a smoother texture in my opinion.

Still great though.

Wow... this is a first! (well..at least as far as i know), a revamped revamp Buuut yeah.. i think im more comfortable with ONLY the shading of the 2nd revamp... its mostly the eyes that i'm not that satisfied with. I love the eyes in the original. And i dont like how the 2 new versions have tentacle-y ears.... i liked it when they looked more stiff, more like fox-ish ears than tentacley snakey ears. I wonder if these comments get through to the artist at all I mean...Either way it is a good job overall... i dont mean its a bad job :p -sigh- i think im just way too attatched to many of the original pet art ._.

Eh it's an improvement over the first revamp attempt, but I still think this kora looks forced. I voted original original. The spectrum, galactic and hydrus look so much more fluid and natural...and simple and crisp, I dunno. I think this one should be scrapped and start afresh with a looser sketch, I know Rah can do better koras <3

For me it was between the original and 2nd revamp. But yeah, I acknowledge the kora needs a revamp so I went with 2nd revamp..
