Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder, treason and plot,
I know of no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.

The Guy Fawkes plushie, mad at loosing it's spot as the free gift, has made sure it's available in mass quantities in the token shop :)

Yay, thank you Subeta for celebrating this xD I remember it from last year too. =) Heh, fireworks are still going on here, I swear this lasts for a week plus, instead of the supposed day Mm, I always feel sorry for Guy though - being tortured, hung, drawn and quartered. =/ And then people burning figures of him on bonfires. But then again I wouldn't want a Catholic England either, so..

WOW people sure get upset about the silliest things! Everyone is entitled to their opinions and views and equally entitled to disagree. There's no need to be nasty about anything people say. Come on folks, let's just live and let live and stop being so critical!

I wish we could edit our comments in here.

Paw,
V for Vendetta is a comic. Ten issues were originally published before it was turned into a graphic novel. Written by Alan Moore and art done by David Lloyd. Originally published in the UK and published in the US by Vertigo/DC Comics.

Paw, nothing I said was directed at you or anyone else. It was just a general statement.
Well, aside to my comment stating that Parliment House was never actually blown up

... I never said I was "learning my history from watching movies", and I never said there was any relation besides what has been said between V and Guy Fawkes. I was just saying all that because I like the movie and the little poem, which was in the movie.
Plus, the movie is based on a novel, not a comic book, I think.

Guy Fawkes didn't actually blow up Parliment. It's been reported that he was caught just as he was about to light the fuse. That's why it was only an ATTEMPT to blow it up.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

looks up ...bah I still don't know if he actually managed it though I'll ask my history teacher.

I should have made myself more clear. They both tried to destroy the government for two totally seperate reasons.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

V for Vendetta is NOT about Guy Fawkes. V does wear a Guy Fawkes mask and attempts to blow up the parliment building but really thats where the similarities end. V is set in the future and is the main characters attempt to destroy the government. The movie is based on a COMIC book series people. This is killing me.

Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the houses of parliment in attempt to destroy King James I. Guy Fawkes was a member of an English Catholic group who were trying to end the Protestant aristocracy.

The irony of it all. We just watched V for Vendetta a few days ago, unaware that november 5th was coming up.
I had that poem stuck in my head yesterday.
It reminded me of a book called the people of sparks, sequel to the city of ember.
Remember, remember,
the city, remember.
And thats all I remember.

Less Tokens? It's a good amount of tokens to spend on a plushie. The tokens aren't going for too much now, and it's quite affordable, really. I think it should stay at the same price.
