Hmmmm........ I don't think it looks cute enough fora Mallarchy, its to realistic. :/ I mean, its very well-drawn, but.... Yeah.

i still don't like them. they don't look cute or nice. the eyes and the feet are great but the way they are standing.... i don't know... it looks wrong not like a duck

Wing anatomy? The wings at the 'elbow' haven't been retouched at all, and they shouldn't look so spiky and threatening. It's not going to take up more room by shortening them and rounding them off. But of course the Mallarchy owners don't get a say in all of this. The shading and expression look a lot better, but I still can't say I like this new revamp. I'm not saying it's disgusting, but it's lost a lot of its cuteness for this new 'realism drive' you guys are going for. I ain't changing my pets, but I guess my two Mallarchies will just have to be stuck looking like this. Though despite complaints about that tail, I like it. Though it takes away from the bird-like appearance. If you really wanted to make a mix of birds and not just that of a duck, then don't name it after a mallard. ._.;

Oh well, I've had my gripe. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate this new revamp, but I don't love it, either. Kudos for the good shading and wingwork in general, though. And I quite like the webbed feet!

They are nice except the for the 'fish' tail and the head is way too small.

I sorta consider this a downgrade- the art is improved but the pet isn't. =/ I won't go into detail seeing as it's already done. Oh well. It's to be expected, I guess.

Fweee they look great now. They where so under appreciated before. This should hopfully give them some much needed love and attention.

I just love the twilight one. I hope that we'll have more bird species in the future though. Anyways great work rah, the artwork is fantastic and you've really better defined the mallarchy species to its own unique creature.

So pretty. Mallarchies before kinda suffered from a bad case of average in my eyes, but these are really gorgeous. If I wasn't already having problems with getting all the pets I want, I'd have one.

I agree with TestName. XD The Mallarchy used to be one of my main reasons for buying Dragarth Elixirs for my zapper-victims, but now I actually like looking at them. Especially the wings and chest/neck feather detail. .o.

This is fantastic. C: I love how it's not just a duck anymore, now the Mallarchy is something special.

I was never too fond of the Mallarchy to begin with, so this really doesn't move me too much. XD

To be honest, what SweetSerenity and thechasedlife are saying actually makes me happy. I'm glad you can see i've had influence from other creatures when drawing this pet - if people looked at it and immediately said 'wow its a perfect illustration of a mallard duck!' I would be disappointed, because its hardly creative to just draw a pet exactly from a real life animal n__n

I love the comments saying you won't rush out to get an elixir if your pet gets zapped into a mallarchy xDD That makes me super happy!

I know there are people who are REALLY into bird anatomy, and I can tell you, I really did TRY to make the wings anatomically correct, but it either made the body itself look too small because the canvas was all taken up by wings, or made the wings look cramped I decided, just like the artists of Tweety Pie and Donuld Duck before me, that you can't always get totally hung up on realism!

i generally like Rah's work. But I must agree with SweetSerenity. I'm still disapointed in the revamp. The tail and the pointed head just don't remind me of a duck at all. But its not like I was ever going to get one before.

Thoug very cute, I don't think the length of those wings would be enough to lift a Malarchy into the sky, if the're meant to fly at all. They're very nice, but I prefered the look of the old. Good job on the art, none-the-less.

The tweaked revamp still has the funky butt/tail that looks like it belongs on a fish not a duck. The head still looks like it it belongs on a blue jay or woodpecker as well. I was hoping when it took this long the listened to those suggestions that were pointed out by quite a few of us owners but nope just the expression seemed to be tweaked.

Hopefully if they touch the chibi it won't get that butt, if it does I have a pet to rehome Really hoping all the malarchy items on site don't change to much reflect the revamp either otherwise I will probably sell of my completed mallarchy gallery.
