Actually, these were released within hours after his death last year; it most definitely was not an afterthought. We had an Australian artist at the time who banded together with a couple of other artists to get them done and released virtually immediately after confirmation of his death. (We checked an on-line Australian newspaper since he had been reported dead before but wasn't). I bought one of those little liquid filled Crocodile Hunter keychains on eBay too. (I had actually had one for quite awhile but the liquid had dried out in it). Sadly, it was the last reasonably priced Steve Irwin item other than trading cards left on eBay at the time. Just the action figure was going for over $125.

I wish I had grabbed one before they were retired. I am sad now I miss Steve alot he was so fun to watch. Though it seams when you turn on the Tv he is still around when they show Croc diaries etc. about him it makes me cry all the time.

Imlost, the dog is a model after his dog who, when he firstmet his wife, he introduced Sui as his girlfriend His dog was immensly dear to him. Along with that, a komodo dragon type minion, to go along with the croc, snake and turtle ones is for his immense adoration of repties. I think the Crunter is tops though, because he always was the Crocodile Hunter. But yeah, that's how they're related to Steve.

I just noticed I have them all. Aw, and the dog one looks like his dog, I just realized. I didn't know it had to do with him. Glad I got them all. He was the only famous person I've ever been a fan of, well still the same now.
