There is no real time rule at all to the Trivias. Even my Help article will state that they are generally left up for 24 hours, in order to accommodate all time zones, but not always. They have to be changed sooner in the case of major errors, a pertinent fact changing after the Trivia has been posted, or, as in this case, cheating.

Sorry, my stupid Internet died for almost seven hours. _ Anyway, as I had posted previously, if the question is posted on the cheat site, the Trivia will be changed immediately upon my finding out. Therefore it is pointless to post it, as there will be time for very few attempts at answering before I catch it and change it. (They got the last one wrong, by the way, as only one person had time to post an answer, and it was incorrect XD). Also, a high rarity prize that stocks Trivia only needs to be left up for 500 answers (which there were well over), but that's a moot point in this case.

Yes, this last trivia with the Ebil Site Monkey prize went by faster than I expected. But there was over 900 answers already, last I looked at it when I answered. Also, DebiLee's been only leaving them up for 500 to 1000 answers - closer to 500 lately. Probably to discourage the cheaters, cheating, and the people who would look elsewhere to find easy answers posted somewhere. But there really were enough answers to change the trivia, even though it had been less than 24 hours. Sorry to everyone who missed answering, though

I agree. i know the staff has a life and deserves thier time, and because of that ... the trivia sometimes stays up for DAYs to accomodate thier schedule .. while we wait and 3000 answers go in. How about finding a 24hour minimum of fairness for OUR schedules. I HAD that answer! had to pop off for dinner (I, like others as well as staff, DO have a family to take care of). I mean really, time zones .. families .. jobs ... school .. etc. It should, in all fairness be 24hrs to let everyone have some chance. THEN, if they then dont make it in time, thier loss.
Now, on this one, not a clue .. Guessarooni ..LOL
And, lastly, I saw note that Debi had written some rules, doesn anyone know if she has had time to post them? (I was gone a few days .. may have missed it) .. and if so, where can they be found? I have hunted and not found them as of yet. I know they may not be posted yet, but if they are, can someone share the location? Thanks

Yes, the staff can do what they want and some trivias are noticeably shorter in duration...but this one went by at the speed of light. I agree with Din0mite that there has to be some kind of consistency in the time duration. After all, this site is used as an R and R release for a lot of members, (and judging by the response, everyone's frustration level has gone WAY up on this one

yikes people - this comment page should be for the new trivia, take it to the complaint/bragging forum - - staff can do whatever they want with their site, be happy that the trivia is not gone completely? I have no problem at all with the timing and I did not guess at the previous question either. A whole site should not have to wait for individuals and their personal schedules. Win some and lose some. I am happy that this staff is nice enough to reply at all, other sites only give auto replies or just ignore inquiries. Debi is not online 24 hours a day so some times for trivia answers will be different than others anyway

ok what is the deal on the last trivia.. I had to go to work early so figured I would look more tonight.. I get home and its gone.. there were only like 100+ answered when I left and I know 900+ more didnt answer before I got home.. whats the deal.. how come we didnt get a chance to figure it out.. not happy.. wanted that ebil monkey

It's just for some people, they only get on for a few hours in the evening. They go to bed before the trivia is posted at 3am. They get up, they go to work or school, come home and log on at 6pm, and the trivia has already been taken down. Those people deserved the same chance as everyone else to win the prize.

i just guessed at this one in fear of having it changed on me again so i didnt even bother to search for the answer......i just find it kinda odd how one qustion will be up for almost 36 hours and others are only up 13 hours

I dont really mind that the trivias are being cut shorter on time. I play the trivias all the time, even if I dont want the prize, and its soo typical to see about a hundred of the same item flooding the post the moment the prizes are released.. Just think, the less people that answer, the more your prize is worth.

Same with me. I had the answer....then had to take my daughter to dance class, so planned on answering when I got home! I'm pretty sure the rules should be set so that the trivia ends when at least X amount of people have answered after 24 hours!!! That gives EVERYONE (i.e. Those who are just now logging on because they have school, work, etc.) a FAIR chance at the prize! I am so steamed that this is ONE MORE Trivia prize I will have to purchase. stomps of grumbling

I want my monkey. I answered the question while she was apparently changing it out because I hit submit and found a new trivia. Then the site when down. It's just not fair it took me forever to find it. Also not only did I not get the last one but now I won't get this one because of it.

I think the trivia changed when I had answered it so it's definatley wrong. I was wrong anyway but it seemed to change rapidly, couldn't answer it earlier either as I have been realy busy today. I understand why it cant stay long though and hopefully when I'm not busy i'll have more time and a chance of answering one of them.

Did the last one even get to 1000 or was it stopped before that due to the answer being posted somewhere? I saw the question early this morning, but had to go to work and couldn't look for the answer then.
