ATTENTION ALL STAFF
It is becoming increasingly obvious that communication is a serious problem. Contacting staff as needed isn't working, and expecting staff to speak up if they need something or have a problem isn't working either.
So, starting next month, we will be trying a new method. Every first Tuesday of the month there will be a Staff Meeting in the IRC. It will be in channel (If you need the pass, just ask me, or Kandi, or ChimaeraandDream or anyone should have it). It will be from 8pm - 9pm EST. We MAY have other meetings if it becomes obvious one is needed.
If you have ANYTHING you think should be discussed, bring it to this meeting and it WILL be discussed. Suggestions, comments, complaints, questions, you name it, we'll discuss it. HOWEVER. If you do NOT show up for the meeting, I'm sorry, but you forfeit your opinion. Subeta, as fun as it is, IS a job, and thus if we request your presence PLEASE make an honest attempt to appear.
You do NOT need to download IRC to be part of the meeting. Chiura tested the applet here: http://www.jwirc.com/chat.html and confirmed it works to get in .
If you think a meeting is needed before or after this one, just tell me, Kandi, or ChimeraandDream and we'll pass it on to whoever it concerns or discuss it ourselves. If we agree, there will definitely be one.
If you have an anonymous complaint or concern, feel free to tell one of the three of us and we'll discuss it.
Again, guys, PLEASE show up. This is VERY VERY VERY important to the future of the site.

I worked with Silver the other day for a while, and I dont know what's up. I think its a firewall on her network, but I'm not certain. Unless there's a way to bypass it without having direct access to it, I think she's stuck

Becca already knows this, but I just can't get into the IRC at all. I can get as far as getting the opening connecting message where it says it's connecting to the channel, but that's about it.
I couldn't even get into it with my firewall and virus protection turned off and I tried various other methods to get in to no avail.

Currently, I am unable to be on on Tuesdays, as that's my mom's day off. However, when I move into my new house, I might be able to work something out, given my computer is stable enough to support mIRC (it's a dinosaur, but I'm stuck with it until I can find something better).

Can we use a liason if we can't get on. I'm having a problem connecting to the server which is odd because both of my firewalls are turned off 
and I know I have java on this computer, but it's not allowing me to access the server so I can't get on the channel itself.

Kelpie, you weren't in the IRC when this was discussed, but it was.
That's why it says "and more before/after" as needed. We also agreed that any non-American/Canadian staff member can have someone to act in their liason.

Correct me if I am wrong but there will be an Artist IRC meeting prior to this correct? Perhaps the artists who can not attend this can bring up their points at the Arttist meeting, and someone can bring those points up at the All-Hands meeting.

Yeah, I thought about that too. This doesn't seem to accomodate our European staff at all. Likely Rah and Graelin (to name a few) will also have a problem. Perhaps holding two meetings would help? It seems kind of lousy to say they forfeit their opinion for not showing up when it's really an unreasonable hour.

I send Chimaera as my liason. More often than not, I cannot make such late appointments. But I applaud this arrangement wholeheartedly.
I may need to use a liason next month (July) because it's happening the day before Independence Day. My family usually makes a huge deal out of it because it's a holiday and my grandfather's birthday.
