Ok, I partially take back my previous comment about the basses not being pretty. I just now got to see the other colors on the DB, and some of them are lovely. I guess the one pictured on the news post just looks flat to me, especially compared to that amazing vampire guitar. ^^;
Item Hunt just asked me for the Candy Apple Red Electric Bass for level 29 XD. That item was just released a little while ago goes to get reset again.

BASSES!! It's about time! has a thing for bass I can see where Noir is coming from, though - they look very small and plain compared to the guitars. I can see that they're drawn to scale, and that's cool... but the guitars have all those nifty color combos and even auras. Basses can be pretty too. :s
On another note, I love how every time a new item is revealed, no matter what it is - toy, food, postcard, anything - the million dollar question is "Is it wearable?"
