Kay, kids, it's an easter event. You collect tickets through the month and when the easter bunny comes around, you trade the in for prizes. [I'm going by last year here]
Simple as that.

When the easter buny shows up, I wonder if he'll have the same set up as last year. Different items too.

It's not an April Fool's joke...it's what they did last year. Every day in april you open an egg to get some tickets. At the end, you trade in your tickets for various items.
