Everyone talked so much about this trivia. It's no wonder they took it off so quick. I thought it was pretty straight forward, but math is my strong point. The answer was correct and the $2.50 was added for gas. $53.23 games, $10.25 food, $2.50 gas. equals $66.98

I think that the answer they put was wrong, becuase they did not add the $2.50 for gas. I counted it up several times, and the answer without gas was what they said, and the answer I said was with gas.

Now I'm at a loss whether I'm supposed to calculate in the money the friend spent on the videos or not. Judgement tells me no, but I don't see why they'd give all the information about the price and tax percent if we aren't supposed to. o _o

XD Bwaha! Then I interpreted wrong Ah well, I'll just buy one from somebody who gets it right. It was fun anyways.

The trivia is pretty clear, as long as you can interpret it correctly.

Please don't discuss/ask for help, you're meant to find the answer alone. If you have any problems about the trivia, you can sMail me about it.

Wow, that's a long one XD

One thing's confusing me...
"both of you deciding you will pay for the snacks if your friend pays for the videos"

Do we disregard the video cost, tax and such?

Double, i smailed saze about the gas thing, there is no error, that's what it's supposed to say, you're just reading/interpretting it wrong.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

This trivia was fun, nice to have something different. I've got my answer ready but still thinking about holding off a bit just in case some clarification comes on the gas problem.

Woo! I think i got it right! It was easier than it sounds... umm as for the gas, read it, it doesn't say anywhere how many gallons she buy's, so work with that.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I think you have to include the gas, as it is said in the last sentence... But I really worry about how much gas it meant.... Y_____Y

Is there any use to ask for hints? XD

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Well despite the missing info for how many gallons of gas, I came up with my answer.... I'll be upset if it's wrong because for the info available it should be right.... XD but it feels good to work out a math question like that.

Hm.. well right now I have an answer including only one game, not one each since I didnt really think of that, and no gas since it doesnt say how many gallons so you cant really include that. But Im gonna hold of a bit on submitting just incase. I wish this was worded clearer =

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

ok nvm on the game part figured that part out

but still the gas part confuses me..

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

ok there is just way too much info missing from this word problem..

like how many gallons of gas..

"Getting excited, both you and your friend grab the $30 “Dance Dance or Die” game from the shelf and proceed to the cashier"
so does that mean they each bought the game or did they just buy one copy of it to share??

Ok I really think whomever approved this trivia really should have looked at it better before ok-ing it seeing as it is missing alot of important info.

I'm pretty sure for sales tax the store rounds up, but I don't know what to do about a 3 decimal amount when splitting the bill.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by AloneInShadow

There's not enough info actually. It doesn't say how many gallons you filled up. weird.

The trivias don't need to be always Subeta related, as long as they're not searchable on google or other search engine (because then people give away the answers ). This one actually requires work, so it's ok.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by nokeboi
User Avatar

If there's three or more decimals, we need to round up to the nearest two decimals place.

I saw that in the format but now it's gone. Wonders why...

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Just wondering something..
I thought ALL trivias had to be subeta related??
This isn't subeta related at all.

The prize sure is cute though so trys to figure it out anywayz

and for those whom asked this is what I got when I used sack of love:
You have gained:

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

It may be possible that, depending on if you round after each purchase or at the very end, one might or might not get 2 possible answers. Do our two protagonists split the costs as they go along, or do they pay for everything together and split once they get home?
