Oh! I see your point NightFlame. But this is different. it's more of an idea contest than a custom item. We don't get to pick which is drawn, they will pick still, and alter it accordingly as well. We still don't really get to have our custom weapon drawn. Just get to submit an idea, and one will be chosen.
I don't see it as going back on their word.
Excalibur said on the battle forum there will be only one winner, unless more than one really stands out as something they would like to add to the site, but very unlikely more than one will be chosen.
Yes, we didn't get to choose the icons, but, I also remember it stating very firmly that "custom items" would not be made available again because the artists were overworked.
If that's the case, is there only one winner? Or is there going to more than one?

I don't understand how it is an insult either. It's a contest, those of us who weren't around back then didn't get that chance you had. I would love to have my own weapon drawn and would happily donate A LOT to do so. This is the newer players' chance at a custom type item. And we still even have to compete to even have a small chance for it.
Why is it an insult Nightflame? You didn't get to suggest the icons for anything back then, you simply donated for the item to be drawn. If you do not like the idea, please feel free to no participate.
