yeah, it's like a memorial day and if I'm not mistaken it's on the 11th November. After have post that i have rad other comment and see Lavabeast have explain it too.

Like many have say too, it's nice to see Subeta like celebrating many holiday around the world. It's very nice of you guys!

It's nice to learn of holidays from other countries besides the ours here in the U.S. I know on other petsites canadians and other countries usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to holidays. I'm glad to see it is different here, I love learning new things. Is it on the same day as veterans day here or before?

Rememberance Day has gained a certain importance to me in the past few years. I'm very happy to see items and stuff related to it.

I'm guessing it is also in honor of Veteran's Day here in the US on Monday. (We hold it on Monday here - basically just a Bank and Postal Holiday). I think more Americans pay attention to Memorial Day. Maybe?

Remembrance Day is a holiday celebrated in Canada, the UK, Colombia, Australia, and Ireland. It is also known as Poppy Day in South Africa and Malta.

It is a day to remember the sacrifice of soldiers, specifically those of the first world war. It is observed on November 11th, the day that WWI ended in 1918.

The poppy's significance to Remembrance Day is a result of Canadian military physician John McCrae's poem 'In Flanders Fields.' The poppy emblem was chosen because of the poppies that bloomed across some of the worst battlefields of Flanders in World War I, their red colour an appropriate symbol for the bloodshed of trench warfare. A Frenchwoman by the name of Madame E. GuÃ©rin introduced the widely used artificial poppies given out today.

The sale of red poppies raises funds to help ex-servicemen.

So, to whomever actually wanted a pin like that: I will send you a boxfull. XD They give them out like candy.
